Hi everyone, i'm new to the east 2 west brand and very disappointed in the product. we have a Takoda which looks beautiful but the beauty is more of a beast. We bought new oct 24 from funtown rv here in Cleburne Texas. The unit had a minor tear under the belly and we should have said no then!!!! But we didn't because they said they would get it right. 97 screws later they got it all pieced back together! We did a maiden voyage to Canton Texas to trade days to shop and check the unit out. found 19 issues to get fixed some were very minor and others were the worst i have ever encountered in glamping. Worst issue was the shower connection behind the wall and the closet in the bathroom. Leaked all over the floor and in the underbelly. Warranty supposedly fixed all the water damage and reconnected the line that E2W says they pride themselves on QC of their product. Wrong! It has been 7 months now and still in the shop. We bought 2 storage inline spaces to protect the unit from hail. Of course they have the unit outside so its Texas and we got hail damaged on 1 side of the unit. Funtown said we file on our insurance I said no its on your property their insurance has an act of god clause so that sucks.
All that to ask.... Has anyone else had this much trouble with forest river and east 2 west or are we the chosen ones to take the slap? The warranty wait of 7 months seems ridiculous and waiting on parts that may or maybe correct is killing our camping season. Any ideas or words of wisdom? Help? What are your thoughts????

Moved thread from the Tech and Repair section to the TT/5th Wheel section's East to West sub-forum.

OP, many times dealers lie about warranty claims and parts being delayed. Many owners have contacted the manufacturer, only to find out that the dealer never sent the requests in.
I suggest that you contact the East to West division directly.

Hi Mike,
I too have purchased a EtW 2024 Tokoda and have the same water leak in the shower that you have. Purchased it in Florida & live in Maryland. Have had numerous problems with the unit. The worst being the shower leak. Have not used the warranty work on any of the problems, as I am a mechanic and do all my own repairs. EtW has sent me parts as needed. T have looked into getting into the back of the shower and it looks like the closet next to it has to be removed to get to the fittings & connections. I have noticed that the hot and cold water lined going to the hookup are braided flexible water lines. I haven't went any further yet on the repairs but will bet you money that the company used the incorrect hose fittings on the connections. I will not recommend an EtW unit to anyone. My son has a Brinkley and is very happy with it.
