How was the weather this time? Last year was good. My first time was boiling, felt like I was on the set of Cool Hand Luke. Can finally use a movie reference and everyone here is old enough to know it. Young people just look at me blankly anymore.

Last year there was a bridge out ( I think) on Rt 33 coming up from South Bend, we diverted to 69 to 6 if I remember right. 33 is open I assume?

So far beautiful weather, barely hot in the summy afternoon, but cooling down at night. Thurs is supposed to rain. BTW, there is a guy here who looks like Park Supervisor Jimmy Leahy.

The one year I don't go! RIP Mr. Leahy. Finally, another person who knows who Mr. Leahy was.

edit: I enjoyed volunteering to drive the pad hoppers. Got to meet a lot of people. And learn the fairground layout, which seems overwhelming at first.

Tonight was the first night of entertainment in the Park.
Lots of folks attended to see Ron Moshier and fun was had by all!

Yes! Last night was the first Ice Cream Social.
And I can attest it was delicious!

The first year we went to the Rally, I wasn’t sure if I enjoyed the ice cream social, however, by the time I had my 5th helping…….I was hooked. :D

Our schedules only allowed us to attend the International Rally twice, but we volunteered both times we were there. It was definitely some of the best fun of the Rally itself. My wife worked shifts on registration, and I did various shifts of helping on the parking committee and driving the Pod Hoppers. Both positions give you a great opportunity to meet other FROGS from all over. There are function organizers for all facets of the Rally, but they can’t do their job without the volunteers of each responsibility. If you’ve ever thought about being a volunteer……just do it!

Got to tour the Cedar Creek factory...

I would first like to congratulate Bob and Cindy on their retirement in November. Thank you for all you have done over the years. Second, I would like to congratulate Rennie and Beth for continuing Bob and Cindy's legacy and wish you both good luck. Third and final, this was the 10 rally that we have set up the Tiki Hut. A few rally goers stopped by, many walked by and din not stop. We do this for everyone, not just our brand, and everyone is welcome. We had a pavilion this year and had tables set up. This place is a place to meet other campers, sit around a fire pit, watch a movie, have popcorn, snow cones for the kids, play games, etc. So if you see it stop by and say hi.
