We bought a brand new 2024 Rockwood 2720IK in late July.
It's been at a dealership since mid September. As of today that means we've been waiting for 7 weeks this Saturday so we missed 2 months of planned trips this summer.

The camper had a few defects... hot water heater is being replaced bc it's leaking in the bathroom cabinet, slide topper on the largest slide of 3 needs to be replaced bc it's sagging and holding water and the biggest issue is that the slides leaked all the way home from Indiana. When we arrived at home, the kitchen floor had a large puddle of water on it because all the slides have a hole exposed in the bottom corners.

This is our 2nd Rockwood, started with a 2021 Rockwood 2506, and we decided to buy another Rockwood because we were satisfied with the value. The 2506 was not perfect but it only had small issues that were easy to correct. We made a lot of assumptions when we ordered the new/larger travel trailer and I highly recommend that no one make assumptions when buying a camper from any manufacturer.

The issue with the new 2024 Rockwood is a manufacturing defect and the solution they offered is a hack job to hopefully keep the water and rodents out of the camper.

We will never buy another product from Forest River after this unnecessary and stressful experience that started 2 days after buying it in Indiana. The deal breaker was their initial insistence that I pay for the labor to fix the issues they caused.

I am very shocked & disappointed by the way Forest River responded to these issues.

All that said... I have had many good exchanges with the support representative but he is limited by the process.

This is our 1st forest river. Cherokee Artic wolf 27 SGS. Was in the shop last year 3 times and finally repaired correctly after taking it back and seeing there sloppy work and still not fixed correctly. . Now have a leak in slide and water tank gauge don’t work so back it goes again. Warranty expires on the 7th of June and they can’t get it in until the 9th. Better be covered.

The OP has a Rockwood product and posted this in the Rockwood sub-forum, not the Cherokee sub-forum.
IMHO, Rockwood/Flagstaff trailers are superior in build quality, compared to a Cherokee product.
