I promise, I searched. For the last 2 days, I've searched every which way I can think to. Camping world obviously had no clue (in fact, most of the time with the tech guy going over how to use the camper, was me teaching him what things were.) Call to forrest river tech support was, not returned (as of yet) and I'm just dying to know.

How do you use this thing? In all my searches, the results show a control panel of sorts. This thing has only a on off button. The tech guy described it as something that will, once you manually start the generator, send extra juice to the house batteries to charge them faster.

Said they couldn't demonstrate it since the batteries were brand new and fully charged.

Bear with me, we are far from new to campers, but we've never had any this fancy.

Here's what we've got.

Pops had all the books last night but couldn't find anything on the AGS. I failed to grab the books after we parked it at the storage lot tonight so I could see if I could find any mention of how to use it in there.

3 tv's in a 32' motorhome kinda cool, but holy crap. We've figured out how to get the inside big tv to put sound to the outside speakers and I'd figure the outside tv would be able to do the same, but so far no joy. (so if anyone knows that, please clue me in)

I could go on for days about what a horrible experience the buying process is. Multiple dealers (camping world, blue compass) finance departments don't understand how to take no for an answer. Then try to gaslight you when you get irritated with them. (story for another time in the proper place when I find it)

Anyhow, any insight any could share on how to operate this particular AGS and what it does do would be most helpful, and we'll feast in your honor and the children will sing songs of to your praises.

Finally found the quick start guide with the pass code. Apparently it's all ran through your phone. The button on the wall is the temp sensor, and on/off switch apparently.

So I got it all mostly figured out, but the system refuses to see the temp sensor and on/off switch.

Went back to the camper today and re-verified I know what the process is to get the inside tv to output sound to the speakers outside, but could not duplicate it on the tv outside. It just makes no sense to me that the inside tv can output to the outside wall speakers, but the outside tv can only output to the tv speakers.

I sense a trip to the service department coming up...

I figured out the app also on my own as the dealer knew nothing about it and I also talked to Forest River service and they knew very little about how it worked as 2024 was the 1st year they have used it. Like yours my temperature sensor and on/off switch doesnt seem to work. The app shows the temp is 33 degrees.

I did find an owners manual from the manufacturer for the AGS module. I have attached it for you also

Yeah. Ours won't register at all. I'm hesitant to send it in to folks that have no clue either, but ours has to go in anyhow got some led lights that don't work now and the pantry thing just completely fell apart.

Sorry I'm so slow to respond, but when I saw you had, we were out in the sticks camping, and then I've been slammed with work.

Forest river sent us something similar with far less detail. I didn't realize that the temp/on/off switch was all bluetooth. Makes me wonder if it's hooked up wrong.

Sorry for the delay, we finally found a resolution. They ended up having to replace the AGS module.

Camping world kept telling us it was just the temp sensor with the on/off switch on the wall, but then when pops picked it up they gave him a new access code. That puzzled me as I can't think of any reason if just the sensor was bad it would need a new code. I finally went up there myself and verified (after some back and forth with the girl at the counter) that they did in fact replace the module. The only reason we knew was checking the part numbers.

Anyhow since then pops says it works, I personally haven't tried it, but if he's happy, I'm happy.

I have a similar problem. My AGS power light will not illuminate and the APP can’t find it. I suspect no power is getting to the on/off switch but can’t find the model to do a reset. The camping world help desk was not familiar so really couldn’t help.

This is clearly another example of

1. Camping World may offer the BEST sale prices based on volume purchasing across their network of locations coast to coast. This applies to more brands than almost any other RV places.
2. Because of point number 1, this makes Camping World the WORST place for any servicing because they’re not loyal to a particular brand or it’s working. Kinda like a new car dealer selling everything….Ford, GM, Toyota, Honda, Hyundai, Volkswagen……
They can’t be experts to everything.

AGS module location

Do you know where the module is located on the 2024 3010ds?
I just learned yesterday, because the camper is back at camping world for the same problem, that the module is behind the control panel to the left of the temp sensor/on off switch that again is refusing to pair with the module.

I have the same suspicion. Camping world has had the camper since 11/14. Didn't touch it until 12/30. And when I went to check up last monday, they said it was all done and working, just needed a software update. Set appointment to pick it up wed, and the guy that was supposed to show us it was working, wasn't there (of course) so we went out with the service writer and showed him that it in fact was still not functional.

Gave them a couple more days, then they called and needed more gas in the camper because they had run it down to a 1/8th tank and the generator wouldn't start no more, after they completely ran the house batteries dead too of course.

They are trying to contact THE guy that handles this AGS system in the country, but who knows how long that will take. They are clueless as to what the system is even supposed to do, they tried telling me that they weren't sure it was even supposed to fire up the generator to run the AC's...

Agreed. It seems that everything they know about the system, I taught them.

When we were picking up the camper, we asked the "tech guy" how to work the AGS, and kid you not, he told us that the AGS was meant to quick charge the house batteries, that we had to manually start the generator, and push the button on the temp sensor, and it would fast charge the house batteries.

He had nothing when I asked, "well, then why do they call it 'auto generator start' if you have to manually start it???"

Right now where we're at in this wonderful experience is camping world has had the camper since 11/14. They didn't even start doing anything with it until 12/30. (joys of having a dash cam)

After I showed up 1/13, they said they were just about to call me, as it was fixed, asking what the fix was I was told a software update. Ok, sure. Made the appointment to pick it up 1/15, and immediately showed them that it in fact was not fixed, as the system still would not register the temp sensor.

Went back yesterday to talk to the ops manager that was supposed to be there wed, but wasn't, so he could show me that it was fixed, and proved it in fact it was not. Between 1/15 and 1/17 they left the main switch on, and totally drained the house batteries. I had to go get it and put fuel in it as they had ran it down to 1/8 tank at that point.

Needless to say we're thrilled. They tried to warranty it and was denied supposedly, but with the new info, I'm not sure what their plan is. But if they think we're going to wait another 2 months for them to start working on it, they'll be getting daily visits from me. Their best suggestion at this point was for me to call forrest river/sunseeker.

I start that monday.

Great times I tell ya what.

Update: Picked up the camper yesterday, went to camping world and was greeted with the customary "I was just about to call you" In a prior call, I was told that the replacement parts wouldn't likely be in until feb 6th. At any rate went out and tested the system, and it registered the temp sensor. I think it's unlikely they replaced the fob, despite repeated claims the WHOLE system has to be replaced. I did notice on this go around that the button on the temp sensor seems to protrude more than the previous 2, assuming it was actually replaced the first time anyhow.

Anyway, did the testing, left to go get pops so we could pick it up, and came back to the generator running. Learned that if the light is on, on the temp sensor, that means that the AGS system is active. Apparently it got to temp and fired up the generator despite it still being rather cold here.

I guess we'll see how long this one lasts. If nothing else, we now have a better understanding of how it works since camping world clearly has no clue.

Oh my, we had the same experience with our dealer and the walkthrough. The nice fellow that did the walkthrough really did not know anything about a AGS. So, I ended up looking up as much as possible on the system, downloaded the app and it seems to work very well. With that being said I was not interested in using the temp sensor, so I did not test that aspect of the system. But I did test the ability to start up when the battery charge levels got to a certain level. That worked flawlessly. So much to learn about these electronics!!!
