2109s Owners Group

Replaced the faucet with one that has a pull down sprayer. Wife is quite happy with this upgrade...LOL.

It's pretty easy, there is quite a bit of room. The PEX supply line fittings on mine are 1/2" female so you need to figure out what connectors are needed for whatever faucet you pick.

Done a simple but useful mod today. Modified a silverware tray so it fit the drawer, then attached 1/2" square baton to make a runner. The silverware tray slides back and fourth so I can access the items underneath. It makes better use of the drawer.
I just thought I'd share.

The faucet is a Chinese brand called WOWOW sold through Home Depot and Amazon, model #‎2310301B. It looks identical to the faucet that Forest River uses but has the pull down sprayer option.

I weighed the tongue on my 2024 2109s and was shocked by the actual weight.

Brochure says 547lbs tongue weight.

My reading 740lbs.

To clarify, on my tongue I have, 2 group 24 batteries that came with the trailer. 2 30lb propane tanks, that came with the trailer. An electric tongue jack. In my pass through I had, 2 totes with various cooking utensils, washing up bowl and drainer, 2 frying pans, 4 various size pans, outdoor mat, small tool bag, tote with extention cord and electric bits.
(I was camping when I weighed, so no chocks or blocks, power cable, hose pipes, camp chairs or appliances was in the pass through)
I weighed my tongue with this -

I am really shocked by the differences in brochure weight & my actual. When I bought the trailer CW who sold me the trailer said the tongue weight was including the batteries & propane, and it was difficult find out if this was true or not. I just thought I'd share this with you all, in case this info helps anyone!

I did a lot of research on these trailers before we made the purchase so was fully aware. Did you weigh it with water in your tank? Mine is just over 800 pounds loaded up hence the need for the 800-1,200 pound rated WDH. We put our e-bikes on the rear which helps a bit as well as using a lighter lithium battery. If you don't need all the propane you can travel with one empty. The percentage is right around 15-16% which is on the high end of the range. Like you said, many of the sales people will give the wrong information which can be troublesome if the TV is not capable (GVWR is the concern).

When I was towing our 2109s with the Ranger, the tongue weight when loaded for camping, non-Ebike on the rear carrier and with 10 gallons of fresh water, was hovering at 750#. This was at the limit of the Ranger's rated receiver capacity.

As you are well aware now, the brochure's tongue weight is the bare minimum with no battery, unfilled propane tanks and empty water tanks.

A few more additions. The quality of the RVlock is really good, it's well made in my opinion, and quite heavy. We have so much sun in So Cal I wanted to reduce the heat and any potential UV damage to the shower. The wife wanted the grab bar on the screen door, I did not feel it was necessary but after installing I actually like having it.

Those are great additions, thanks for sharing! How easy was the lock pad to install? Do you have links to the items you used please, I definitely need to add the skylight cover.

I thought I didn't need the grab bar, until I noticed on the last trip that we both push on the net to open the screen door. I think I need to add one of those also 😁

Will up with the A/C to if you use it.
I went a step further and put white vinyl tape over my skylight cover for the same reason but I figure it protects the skylight to.
It is light enough that it lets in diffused lighting.

The lock is from RVlock, they are normally $199 which I thought was a bit steep, but they had a sale $40 off which made it more reasonable. The Screen door bar is Camco brand I bought at Camping World and the skylight cover was on Amazon, search this "Waterproof RV Vent Insulator and Camper Shower Skylight Cover with Reflective Surface".
