Hi!
My first post here, so please forgive any errors.
I recently bought a used Sunseeker 2500TS, and the wiper seal on the bottom of the rear (bed) slide is torn, about 5" missing from one end. It was that way when I bought it, so I have no idea how it got that way. There is some adhesive in there, as if a past repair has been attempted.
Seems a fine way for bugs to get in, never mind water. Slide seems to fit well and operate freely.
There is no 'inner flange' possible on the lower edge of this type of construction of expandable bed like the top and sides have, so no D-seal in play when the slide is out. It's fine when retracted.
It has some type of recessed wiper seal mounted on a plastic 'pan' that covers the edge of the wall cut-out, with the wiper seal aligned close to the inner surface of the wall, about 2" in from the outer surface of the wall. The plastic pan seems to have a raised edge even further inboard to keep any water that has leaked past the seal from entering the interior; not sure how (if?) the sides (ends of the wiper) are sealed. Tough to get a decent photo in that tiny space.
Does anybody have any experience with this issue, or know where to source the seal/pan and how to install it? Or even the height of the wiper part of the seal? I suppose I might be able to remove the pan, tear out the seal and replace only that with a 'universal' self-adhesive wiper.
I have been stuffing an old sock in there to keep the bugs out, but that's hardly a solution!
Regards, Willy

I understand this is tough to visualize, but the photos I attempted were terrible and would not help.
I was hoping someone with a 2500TS would have gone through this, and be able to help. Also the MH is in storage now (under cover and snow), and so I cannot extend the slide to get at it. But I will need to take action as soon as the snow melts (I'm in Canada) to take advantage of our short season.
Edit: see attached sketch to illustrate

Also, how could I add a PDF of a sketch I made?
To add a pdf (or jpg or docx or ...), click the paperclip icon at the top of the post editor (the same editor you used to create prior posts), and follow the prompts.

I've seen (but don't recall) several sources for slide wipers. I think Steele was one of them.
