I've been on the forums for about seven months while waiting for my 2608BS to be built and delivered, and always wondered why a model I'm told is quite popular has no model specific thread as some others do. Well, we got our camper about a month ago, so now I will have something to contribute to a thread, and decided if I wanted a thread, the thing to do is start one up.

After waiting 6 months for it and exercising our Patience, we named it Serenity in the hope that we will have camping experiences filled with serenity. Assuming I can figure out how to include it, there should be a picture attached.

Any other 2608BS /26FKBS owners want to join in?

Our Rig

To get it kicked off, our 2608BS is a very late 2021 model, built on 6/22/21. As you can see we ordered the white color scheme. We have one Coleman Mach 15k AC, and put MaxAir fans on all three vents. We went for the 12V fridge with the 190W solar package. We chose the theater seats and the table and chairs option for the kitchen. Definitely a couples camper for us.

We signed up for a seasonal spot last fall knowing that we were going to be ordering a camper. Who knew we'd be tenting for half the summer waiting for it to be delivered? So we have full hookups this year. We would like to do some traveling with it at some point, but will probably wait for next year to do that. So for now we have only one G24 FLA battery, but I would like to do LiFePo4 at some point.

I've already installed an Amtifo A8 backup camera. I have a Victron shunt that needs to be installed so I can understand how the battery is working and how much we draw from it. I have a Levelmate Pro to install yet. I will probably do that at the end of the season when we move it to storage. (We are in MN, so our season is relatively short!)

We also got a Southwire EMS for power protection. I haven't installed it yet, not really looking forward to working in that compartment under the fridge...

Ours is a early 2020 model, with a brown color scheme. We bought it off the dealer's inventory, so we didn't have to wait long, just long enough for them to clean it up. We have loved it since the day we got it almost two years ago. The things that sold us on this model were the counter space in the kitchen, and the east-west bed in the slide. We have the theater seats and the booth-type dining. The first long trip was to the Maritime provinces in Canada (before the border was closed), and we've also been to North Carolina and Georgia in one direction and to tFe gulf coast in another. Oh,yeah, we also took it to Yellowstone and Idaho. The only complaint I have is that the mounting for the TV in the living room was not sufficiently strong to keep the TV mounted. We're on our fourth TV now, thanks to that. We've learned that the only solution is to take the TV down and lay it on the bed when we're ready to roll. It's definitely a couple's trailer, though one of my grown sons has slept on the dining table when it was made into a bed. He said he did get some sleep.

Totally agree with you about the counter space! We looked at a few other models, and counter space is always a problem. And also about the bedroom. Plenty of room to get dressed or make the bed, even some big 5'ers don't have as much space as the 2608BS in the bedroom.

I hadn't heard about the TV issue! So far we have only driven it a couple of hours. I hope this is something that Rockwood fixed.

Thanks for starting this thread. We really like this model. Had a Flagstaff 25BDS before ordering our 26fkbs in Jan. 2020. It was built on the last day before they closed for Covid. No issues at all, very well built. Single 15k A/C, white, theater seats, dinette, slide toppers, Maxfan. We ordered standard scissor jacks to eliminate motors. Just added SteadyFast system. LevelMate. Added TV in bedroom and Winegard SensarPRo antenna amplifier. We also use the WifiRanger system especially for it's IP cloaking/encryption.

Sounds nice! We had very few minor issues at delivery, build quality is great despite what some people on these forums say.

The Wifiranger is another issue. It works for the purpose you stated, setting up a private network, but it is definitely a repeater, not a booster. We have the new TetonHD model with the TV antenna integrated, and we get no channels where our neighbors are getting 20+. Checked all of the connections I can access, made sure that the amplifier is powered on, no joy.

Nice thread. Have the 2020 Flagstaff sister, love the floor plan. We get the itch every now and then to look at other TTs but have not found a better floor plan. So far a solid rig, any issues have been minor and fixed myself.

We have the 2020 model. My wife fell in love with the floor plan! Not only did she love the counter space, she love the clear division of the living room area from the kitchen area. If you check, most RVs have the TV near the cooking area. That was a NO, NO for her. Happy wife, happy life!

This is definitely a couples TT, and we bought it as such. Our job has us on the road quite a bit (2-3 weeks a month), so we practically live in it. We have had a grandchild stay with us here and there, but they sleep on the floor.

Our Setup: We have the table and four chairs version along with the theater seating. In the winter, the heated seat are really nice. We have the additional AC unit. We have the 13.5 AC in the bedroom and the 15 AC unit in the living area. In the past week we have been in Georgia, Florida and Alabama. I wouldn't like it without the 2nd AC. I have installed the Microair Soft Start for our 13.5 AC Unit. It originally pulled 38 amps on startup, now it pulls 12 and settles at 11amps.
We had a fabricator build us a generator box that slides into the receiver on the end of our TT. Inside we have the Champion 3400 Watt Inverter Gen with Key Fob Start. Yes, it's outside our bedroom, but you don't care when the heat index is 104 and you're chillin inside. And since we added the Microair Soft Start, we start the big 15k AC first, then the 13.5K AC. Yes, it will run both as long as we start in that order.
It also came with the Blackstone Wanna Be Grill. We love it. My son has the "real" Blackstone. There's very little difference. As much as we love the grill, there's no way I'm hanging it on the side of our RV (Rookwood's idea of efficiency).
First thing I did was change those cheap tires and had some Goodyear tires installed. The Tire Monitoring System came with our unit and we added sensors to the truck tires as well.

After close to 10K miles, we have no complaints. I've had to fix a few things here and there, but overall we love it as much as the day we bought it! Hope you enjoy yours as much as we enjoy ours.

Sounds like a nice setup. I can see where in the deep south you would need the second AC. In Minnesota the single 15k is sufficient.

I wish they hadn't switched the theater seats, I liked the older ones with heat and massage and cup holders in the arms. The new style are okay, but seem cheap in comparison, and I don't like having to put the center bit down to get a cup holder.

I've used the griddle exactly once, to season it and then cook burgers. I'm more used to a grill, but we'll see. I did hang it on the bracket, but I plan to get a table for it - better height and a bit more separation from the trailer.

We purchased our brand new in May 2020. Love it, great floor plan and perfect for us. Just wish for more outside storage. Two a/c's, theater seating, dining table and chairs. Thanks for starting the thread.

RW2608, love it!

We ordered our RW ULTRALITE 2608BS in Jan 2020, delivered in April but had no where to go until May (Thanks, COVID). Shakedown revealed failed A/C blower. Three weeks later we were whole and ready to go but limited by work schedule. FWIW, no other failures or workmanship issues, in fact, workmanship has been outstanding throughout: nothing loose, no sawdust. Very impressed overall. We ordered booth dinette, heated theater seats, single 15k A/C, added MaxxAir in kitchen, slide toppers, power stabilizers and white exterior. Did I mention that we love the floor plan? Fabulous! Bedroom floor space and kitchen counter space were key features plus the best TV/theater seating arrangement. We used to wonder about RV “fireplaces” but quickly learned the value of the actual heater function.

Mods made to date: added wire shelves and plastic containers to convert wardrobe to “drawers”, removed drawer under dinette and two large drawers under bed to make better use of the space (under bed added two 1x12 planks to support longer items), LevelMatePro, replaced bedroom door with a curtain, added wire shelf unit to the bathroom in the wedge space between shower and entertainment wall, removed the “hidden” water filter assembly to simplify winterizing, de-stickered inside and out, replaced exterior door and compartment locks with common keyed units, and added small wire shelving unit behind kitchen sink. Our coach has an exterior hatch under the dinette to which we added a shelf to allow load stacking. Steadyfast under consideration.

Driving the 2608 was a little squirrelly at 65 even though we had had 14% tongue weight with 20 gallons of FW. Concerned with rear mounted FW tank impact if full, we opted to add a ProPride 3P hitch. Pricey, but no more buffeting anxiety.

We love COE campgrounds and this year have been spending Sun-Thurs events at various sites nearby. Longer journeys in planning for next year.

What failed with the living room TV mount? Fasteners pull out? Bracket failure? Our 39” TV is mounted on an articulating wall bracket. Just wondering how your TV is coming loose??

I have a Levelmate Pro to install yet. I will probably do that at the end of the season when we move it to storage. (We are in MN, so our season is relatively short!)

If your camper is already level I think I would install and setup the LevelMatePro before moving it to storage. We have a 2608BS on order and can't wait to get it. I'll be bringing my LevelMatePro with me. It's very handy.

That's just it - it's not quite level. It was until I put the slides out. So I need to move it at least to get level with the slides out and then install and set the LevelMate.

RockyGBOT, the articulated mounting bracket bounced out of its holders and the whole assembly came crashing down. Cracked the screen when it landed on the theater seats. The second TV fell the same way, only this time it pulled the HDMI cable out to its full length, then tore off the piece that actually connected to the TV. By that time, we had decided that placing the TV on the bed face down was the way to keep TVs. Then we forgot to do that on one of our trips, and the exact same thing (HDMI) happened again. This time, I had figured out how to replace the HDMI cable (my more tech-proficient son helped out) and it cost a total of $5.49 including tax to repair. But the TV screen had also cracked again, so it once more has new TV. Added "put the TV on the bed" to the check list for getting underway. We'll see now if we can remember to check the check list. I don't know whether Rockwood has done anything about the mounting bracket, but a friend suggested that I put a screw just above the bracket where the two "fingers" attach to the bracket, so that they could be limited in their travel. But I really don't want to put anything in that rather thin wall. If the bracket managed to bounce out again, it might do major damage to the wall. So putting it on the bed seems a simpler solution.

Ouch! I have assumed that our theater TV was rigidly fastened to the wall. The bracket baseplate is attached to the wall (and a wooden backing plate) with eight screws. However, based upon your experience I will re-exam the bracket's detachment capability. I photo surveyed the coach for reference but the pictures of the TV and its mounting do not show sufficient detail.

Sure I'm in, we love ours. Ours is a 2021 (9/20 covid trailer) and has been absolutely perfect and has not had even one warranty issue.

I added the bedroom TV and changed original TV to a smart TV ($200, sold their TV for $100 so net cost to upgrade $100) so now both TVs can stream through the wifi ranger (if campground wifi can handle it).

Has 12v fridge (works great) and 190w solar, and the two theater seats (2021 models lost the heated seats which is too bad). Also has electric fireplace, outdoor speakers, griddle).

Only got one 13500 AC and so far that has been fine. BTW, these newer 13500 AC units may have a soft start built in to them because I definitely hear the fan start a few seconds before the compressor. Starts fine at home on a 15A shore line. Have a Wen 3500 watt inverter generator for boondocking.

Changed China bomb spare to GYE and added internal TPMS sensor to it while it was off the rim. Four main tires were already lionshead/GYE.

Came with backup camera and TPMS.

2019 version of 2608bs

We have a 2019 model with table and chairs and the sofa. When our chocolate lab travels with us she sleeps on the sofa. The dog also likes the stairs as they don’t bounce when she goes in and out. Love the extension leaf on table use it if we have friends dining inside with us. Only have the one ac unit as part of the purchase had a max air fan installed in bedroom and a porcelain toilet. Dealer had ordered it with slide toppers which we like. Having the two doors makes it easy to get ready for a trip. Love my front kitchen counter area. Making the bed is so easy with it being in the slide.

The only modifications we have done were to add a sewer hose carrier under the rear bumper, three battery lights under the cabinets by the front window, put in a new observation backup camera and added TPMS system. I did sew a couple of small bags that hang on command hooks to the side of the medicine cabinet use them to hold mouthwash bottles. Going to buy a 90 degree 50 amp plug to take some stress off the connection at the camper that 50 amp cord is heavy!

Good morning from the 2608BS!

Got up this morning and cooked breakfast on the griddle - toast, eggs and bacon. Yum!

While cleaning up, I noticed some dripping in the front storage compartment coming from the water lines going up to the sink. It was right at the connectors that joined the braided metal lines to the faucet to the Pex supply lines. I tightened the connectors by hand, and I'll be keeping an eye on it. Anyone else seen this?

It took 5 months for our sister unit (Flagstaff 26FKBS) to arrive and we've taken it out on 3 separate trips in the last month. We're loving the floor plan and space and most importantly the wife loves it.

The only issue we've run into (on our last trip) is that we took a rock in the front window which now has a nice chip/crack in it. Calling service today to see if they can repair or if we need to take it to an automotive windshield place for repair. My guess is the latter will do a better job.

We too have the theater seats and 12v fridge and both are great (we boondocked for several days a couple of weeks ago and had no issues especially with the amount of sun we had to top up the batteries).

The one modification we're about to make is with the closet added to the bathroom in the 2021 model (tall skinny one next to the shower). We're looking for more wall space to hang towels so we're going to cut that cabinet down to half height. Confirmed with the factory that the cabinet is held in place by 6-7 screws which are all accessible from the front. Will remove it, cut it down, finish the top with raised edge so things stay in place and re-install. Just ordered some wall trim that we'll have to install on top of the bathroom wall so will start once that arrives.
