2608BS Owners Thread

We really like ours. Made some foam blocks to keep the TV from bouncing while traveling. Also made a shelf between the cabinets over the sink to store dish soap and the sink covers. Yours is really nice and hope you enjoy it like we do ours. Congradulations

I went ahead and redid the drawers under the dinette.
I cut the front open even with the aluminum framing under the seats, then I made two drawers as big as I could make them and ordered two heavy duty full pull drawer glides so the drawers pull all the way out. (42" long glides.)
This makes accessing under the seats simple. I built two drawer fronts and painted them to match.

I think that is the last project for our new trailer (I hope)

Similar camper, inside the door for easy access. Easy to reach in and turn on without dropping the steps.

Fyi, my batteries are over 2 1/2 years old and still holding up. And I do forget to turn it off now and then but has an auto shut off feature.

we placed ours under the mantle - it really is not working there because that wall does not face driver, passenger, front or rear directly according to Techno RV. In the front storage the water heater wood separator is loose, Don't want to put it on an outside wall and everywhere else seems like there may be wires when we screw it in place...

Hi all. Just had a recent issue with the bed slide during the couple trips on my 2022 model. The bed slide goes in/out fine and the slide stops at the correct points but it quit making the clicking noise unless I release the button for a second and repress it. As soon as the button is repressed I immediately get the clicking noise. Thanks for any thoughts.

Can somebody put up some images of the foam solution for the television so it doesn’t bounce?

This is what I made up for the TV. Used the closed cell foam as it is harder. Works for us

Picked up a couple of 100Ah WattCycle LiFePO4 batteries to replace the original 2021 FLA battery. Original battery is still working, but only gives about 40Ah usable charge, and probably doesn't have much life left. Will be interesting getting the new batteries in and everything set up to use the extra capacity. Camper is in storage until late April, so I have some time to figure it out.

The LiFePO4's were a 2-pack on Amazon, was about $350 for the pair when I bought. Reviewed well by Will Prowse on his YT channel.

Waiting for our new 2024 2608BS to get ready for pickup, scheduled for Feb 27. We only boondock and do so in freezing temps at the start of the season and in much higher temps in the summer. The campsite we go to is in the trees and probably only gets sun for maximum of 4 hrs a day but we could easily go a week with cloudy or rainy weather. Therefore we opted for a 2 way fridge and had the 12v fridge replaced with a Norcold N8X 2 way. Ridiculously expensive but can no longer be ordered from the factory that way.

I have never used a trailer with an inverter and wonder if the plugs that are labeled inverter, only work with the inverter turned on. If so it looks like the only dedicated 110v plugs are above the kitchen counter and the outside plug. Is that correct?

No, all of the outlets work from shore power as long as you are plugged in. ONLY the inverter connected outlets work from the inverter when you are not on shore power and you have the inverter turned on.

My original 2 batteries from the dealer finally died out this year. Mine were from 2020. We don't boondock so i'm replacing them with one LifeP04 100ah battery. I'm going to see how it works this summer. I may need to add one more. This new battery will give me way more Ah than I was getting with the other ones.

For all of you using the levelmate pro - where did you install it in this camper? Thanx
I put mine on the right wall as you get into the rv. Wish I would have put it at the bottom of the wall instead of at the top so I could reach it with the stairs up.
