3 slides not retracting

I have a 2012 Georgetown XL 378TS with 3 slides. I am new to Forest River as we just purchased this unit which was meticulously maintained. I am currently at home and put all 3 slides out, however they will now not come back in. When I push each "in" button, I can hear the clicking under the stairs in the battery control compartment. I have checked the fuses and all seems fine. I have tried the slide operation while plugged into 110 and I have also tried with the generator running however I have been unsuccessful in getting the slides back in.

Is there a slide reset button? I have read many threads which indicate that the Lippert slides have the reset, however I don't know where it is located as the owner's annual is completely useless. I'm thinking that the slides are fine as all 3 will not come in. May be an easy fix? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Moved thread from the Tech and Repair section to the Motorhome section's Georgetown sub-forum for better help from other Georgetown owners and possible factory support.
Also because the OP is asking for model-specific information.

The first thing to check would be the 'house' batteries. Slides need adequate power to operate the slides.

Welcome to the forum!

If my generator is running, I shouldn't have to worry about the batteries would I? My control batteries show all 4 lights

Yes when the batteries are being charged, with shore power or generator, the system should indicate 4 lights. What isn't disclosed is the actual battery voltage at the slide controllers. To see this, you will need to find the slide controllers. I've found many loose grounds, dirty grounds and other poor connections in the 12 volt system. Low voltage will prevent the slides from retracting. A DVM (digital volt meter) and some investigation seems to be in order. See the attached picture. It discloses the error codes.

By the way, you should make a list of ever piece of equipment, brand and model, and then do a GOOGLE search for the manual. I suggest printing same and compile your own manual.

I appreciate the input. Will there be 3 separate slide controllers or just one?

I have solved the issue. This appears to be some sort of breaker under the coach stairs. It was tripped. Once it was reset, the slides are working.

There will be 3 separate slide controllers, probably in three different locations. Each slide has 2 motors identified as Motor #1 and Motor #2. See the picture I supplied earlier.

Since you reported the 100-amp breaker tripped, by chance did someone try to move more than one slide at a time? If so, likely the reason the 100-amp breaker was tripped.

I view tripping a 100-amp breaker is due to something or some things drawing a LOT of current. That would concern me. Of course, if an inverter is installed, it can easily draw 100 amps. But I'd not think the inverter would be associated with the slides.

Do you have hydraulic slides? If so, that is the circuit breaker for the hydraulic pump. If so, the jacks also would not be working but you wouldn't know until you got the slides in.

That 100amp breaker might have, I say, might have tripped if the slides and/or jacks were activated when just on battery power. The current draw on those items is huge and needs strong 12 volt power. My Georgetown suggested running the generator or shore power when activated. Glad you got your problems fixed.

slides won't work if engine is running,, engine has to be off for slides to works at least on my 2011 378ts Georgetown
