The P.O. had hung a couple of small hooks for hanging clothes on the DW's side of the bed using Command Strips. Hooks were too small and one broke. Tried to remove them. Not removable without damaging the paper thin (literally) coating on the panelling. Likely from being there too long and the heat inside bonding them. Luckily we won this little wooden hanger in a park draw and it fit perfectly between the wall and the sliding bedroom door. Used heavy duty 2 sided mounting tape. Anyone ever tries to remove it the wall will come with it.
So, moral of the story is, be careful where you use the command strips if you ever want to remove them.

We have a lot of Command Strips in our trailer, and they've worked well for us. We've never had an issue using the pull-down tabs to remove the hooks, though they require some patience. Where we won't have access to the tabs with the item on the wall (e.g. larger items or pictures), we've been using the velcro-like, 2-piece Command Strips like these:

They've worked very well and have more than enough strength to hold anything we've put up, while never damaging the walls.

How long were the hooks there? I removed some on I think the same wallpaper after a year or so. Now I have some going on two years.

As far as we know they were there since the previous owner bought the unit 7 years ago....

Where I live, Command Strips don't fair too well in the super low humidity. They tend to dry-up and fall off.

We have not had the experience of others hear that say they hold well.
Even with cleaning and proper installation, we've had a bunch of them come loose. (and on more than one R/V)

We've found that the 'outside' command strips hold up well inside our rig.
The heat and humidity in our area is tough on any type of mounting tape.
However, we haven't tried removing them. That might be a challenge.

Glad the OP found a solution. That's a nice wooden hanger.

If the command strip does not want to cooperate during removal, use dental floss to act like a blade and separate the adhesive layer from the wall...

In your case, the adhesive is visible, so I would try a mild solvent (alcohol, wd40, mineral spirits...I'm not sure which one will work) and a popsicle stick or other non-gouging tool to scrape it off.

Our issue with command hooks was that the hook was pulling the wall paper away from the panels causing air pockets. We have quit using them now due to that.
