Well, we were kind of pushed into the life of owning a 2002 Wildwood 27BH TT. I have always liked tent camping but my wife is not a big fan.
A large tree decided to intrude upon our home on 7/7/2017 at 3:10am (That's when the clocks stopped).
The tree took out our bedrooms and 2 of the 3 bathrooms. Thankfully the bathroom that has the washer and dryer was not damaged and at least we have a toilet and sink.
Insurance was going to put us up in a motel but the nearest "long term" motel was about 10 miles away, did not allow pets (we have 2 huskies), and put us in another school district. Our 12 year old would not have been happy. Well, after going round and round with them, they agreed that my in-laws could purchase the TT and they would pay them "rent" for us to stay on the property. It looks like we will be staying in it for at least the next 5 months.
A week after the big boom, I ended up breaking my ankle in 10 different places.
Well, a good friend designed and built a ramp so I can get up and into the trailer with no problems.
All that to say...We love the trailer and I hope after being in it for as long as we will be, my family will decide that they like camping and we can continue doing it for many more years to come.
