auto levelers side to side are crossed

we have a 2022 Forest River Forester 2401 MBS with auto levelers. We have had problems getting them to level so we did a test. I wanted to confirm that the switch marked "Left" operated the drivers side levelers. Well, surprise. When I manually extend the "left" levelers, the rear drivers side jack extends and the front passenger side jack extends.

When I push the "right" switch, the opposite happens. Rear passenger jack extends and front drivers jack extends.

So there is no way to level from side to side, as the levelers form a cross.

When I operated the "front" switch, the two front jacks do in fact extend. "Back" does operate the two back jacks. It's the side ones that cross.

Anyone else have this issue and if so, are the hydraulics hooked up wrong or is it the wiring? If it's the wiring, is it in the control panel where the switches are?

Who the heck assembles these RV's????? Just for fun, they also switched the grey tank and black tank handles - grey operated the black and vice versa. Fortunately that was an easy fix....:banghead:

Update: ours is the "Equalizer EQ Smart-Level" system

I'd suspect that two hoses are on the wrong valves on the hydraulic pump. Right hose on a left valve, left hose on a right valve.

As for who assembles these rigs, this guy said everything looked right to him. ;)

Yup - hoses are crossed

So yes, we found that the hydraulic hoses are crossed - see attached picture. They should be orange stripe on bottom hose, and orange solid on top hose...BUT NOOOOOOOO they put the yellow solid on the wrong side.....

I found on the EQ Stabilizer website how the hoses should be connected and it should have been idiot proof - they are color coded. I guess the installer in addition to not knowing left and right, doesn't know brown from yellow, solid from stripe.

So now we have to get the hoses switched. Amazing that we spend $100K for the rig and me the retired salesperson figured out what was wrong, while the installer doesn't know left from right.....:peace:

Yup - that must have been the guy who installed them!!!
