Awning Treatment

That appears to be for fabric type applications. I've used this for my vinyl awning and had great results. I generally do it as the instructions state, applying every 3 to 5 weeks depending upon how often we've been out camping. 20200219_080201.jpeg

303 for me also. I use it on the Jeep soft top, boat vinyl upholstery and bimini top. The stuff is expensive but worth it and does not collect dust.:trink39:

Another vote for Aerospace 303.

It goes on all my awnings and slide seals. I also use it on tire sidewalls, tonneau cover and bumper/bed rail scuff plates.

So how do you use it on the awning and how do you get up there to do it? Asking for a friend.

I'll have to admit I've never treated awnings, slide toppers, or slide seals with anything. I'll wash the awning occasionally with whatever I wash the RV with.
My RV is over 8 years old, sits outside all the time in the SW weather, is used a lot, and just this year I replaced the slide outside bulb seals.
The awning is fine, and has actually lasted longer than my buddy's who treats everything. Go figure......

Sort of related. You will likely get dirt and mildew on the underside of the awning. I've tried a number of things trying to get mine clean, it has a white underside. Based on a recommendation from KenandTerry (members of this forum), I picked up some LA's Totally Awesome Cleaner. After using, awning looks almost new. I bought the stuff from a Dollar General in San Antonio TX, 1/2 gallon concentrate for $3.

We have used Totally Awesome and LOVE it! It’s the best thing I’ve ever used on any of my awnings over the past 25 years.

I watched a YouTube video that recommended cleaning the mildew on a canopy with a pump sprayer filled with water and a table spoon of bleach and dish soap. For me it worked really well, just applied the solution to the canopy, roll it back up for an hour or so then opened it and wiped it down.
