I'm looking for a good procedure to adjust the cables on the BAL Exact-slide on my 2021 XLR Hyperlite 3016.

The slide wasn't adjusted entirely correctly from the factory but it worked well enough. The back always came in before the front.

My problems started when I had to modify the lower interior standoff brackets because they were tearing out of the wall.

The repaired brackets work great but I'm having a time adjusting the cables.

I have the service and installation pdfs, they aren't detailed enough to be any help.

how appropriate. i have been working on my BAL slideout today. the pully actually pulled off the wall due to improper cable adjustment. there are several videos on you tube about how to adjust these. i believe BAl also has a video on their site. make sure there is very little slack in the cables so the two block do not interfere with each other when you operate the motor. this is what caused my pully to get pulled off the wall.

i don't know this but i suspect the cables actually stretch a bit with use so the cables need to be readjusted periodically.

I agree that the cables will stretch with use.
In my case, when I retract the slide, the front motor will stall initially after a few inches while the rear keeps retracting. If I release the switch and then continue the retraction, it will finish without stopping

Never seen more then one motor and gear box on a bal accu slide . either your cables are very loose or you may have a different slide mechanism

They keep coming out with new designs . hard to keep up . I've seen them start to mount the motor/gear box now on the bottom of the slide also ...
they are still a poor design cables and pulleys something used in he 16th century

The Exact-slide is a new design, motor and pulleys for each side contained within the left and right jambs. Moving the motor and pulleys from the top area where the Accu-slide has them allows more travel.

After a good look at this in wall design I'll make sure if i ever up-grade units it has no bal exact slide or any cable for that matter . just more junk from bal accu slide . good luck with your issues

Have you found any information on the cable adjustments yet?

My slide seems to work fine side to side but when bring the slide in the top tips out and it tips in when going the other direction.

I have watched all the BAL videos and read all the service literature I can find and have found nothing about how to adjust the cables

SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!!!!!!
