Thinking of adding an inverter in my storage box beside my battery box. Can someone please suggest/recommend best sealant compound for wiring hole that will be waterproof/dust proof but still give me the needed flexibility?

Unless it is a very small inverter, you may not want to put it in a sealed box as they generate quite a bit of heat when operating. If possible installing inside the RV itself might be a better option.

I had seen this installation pictured and thought it was very clean looking. I was then going to wire the on/off switch and plugin at the bottom of my control area beside the battery box (hidden in one of the stair boxes) the inverter is a 1500 w and my storage space is about 17" deep by 12" h X 30" long. I thought the space would handle any heat generated. ImageUploadedByForest River Forums1462724898.877285.jpgImageUploadedByForest River Forums1462724913.016097.jpg appreciate your comments

That should work well. I envisioned the storage box as a much smaller area.

The black "gook" in the picture looks like some type of "acoustical" caulk used in home building, have you used something similar?

Plain old silicone sets soft and yet in much less messy and can be removed clean if ever needed.

Thanks Tom will try it as soon as I start my project in a couple of weeks!
