Battery maintenance mode

I recently purchased a 2XPower AGM battery. I own a Charge It 4520 battery charger. The Owner's Manual states under the heading BATTERY CHARGER FEATURES "The final stage in the charging routine is a maintenance mode that allows the charger to be connected indefinitely to a battery and maintain a proper charge level". The battery and travel trailer will quite often sit dormant for up to 7 months. Is it a good idea to leave the battery (in the garage removed from the trailer) connected to the charger for this length of time?

Your RV Converter (charger) can be used if you don't want to take the battery out
your choice to take battery into garage or leave it in place

I have my trailer next to house and connected to a 120v standard house 20amp outlet using a GOOD 12g extension cord + adapter
Can even run the air conditioner while working / loading the camper!

I see you decided on an AGM battery. Good choice.
You're going to get lots of different opinions and there's no 'one size fits all'.

If you're going to store the trailer in a location where that battery can be stolen, then the garage is a good place for it. Put the battery charger on it and let it go into 'maintainer' mode.

If you have electricity at the storage site, you can plug in the rv and let the converter charge it. You could also leave it unplugged and use the battery maintainer on the battery.

My personal choice is a battery charger/maintainer, but that's just a personal preference.

I am rather unfamiliar with trailer battery charging systems and was just wondering if charging the battery, with my CHARGE IT 4520 as needed, (once every 1,2,or 3 months) was the best way to go. Or whether leaving my battery charger on (in maintenance mode) and attached to the battery in the garage (for say- 7 months) was the best way to go. Thanks to each of you who have taken the time to share your experiences with me.:)

I'd suggest it is easier to leave in constant maintenance mode rather than remember to charge it periodically. A trickle charger is an inexpensive way to go.
