Bed Gas Pistons

I've replaced the cheap original mattress for a better one, which is heavier. The current gas pistons are rated at 50lbs, but will not hold the mattress up. I'm guessing the new mattress weighs about 70lbs. Would pistons rated at 80lbs work, or is it not that simple?

I have used this website for bed lifts and hatch lifts. Great resource on how to do it and most if not all the parts needed for the many configurations.
