2025 Europa 31 (M2 106 Plus) - seeing this message for the first time this morning at start up: Caution ABS not working, service required. Anyone have experience with this?

You can try turning it back off and then switch the chassis master battery disconnect switch (on the regular M2 106 it is by the driver seat) off, wait a few minutes, then switch the disconnect back on and then go through the start sequence again to see if ABS is working again. Worth a try...

Good idea, but no improvement. Let it sit 10 min w chassis batteries disconnected, still seeing same msg. So far, I've only started the engine and moved it a few feet in the driveway. Will try some time on the road tomorrow and see if it clears.

On my ‘19 I had an intermittent ABS idiot light coming on for a little over the first year I had it. It would reset whenever the engine was off and then reappear at start or after driving, sometimes. Once the problem got to be reproducible enough, Freightliner found a wire rubbing against a bracket that they fixed and since then no problems. If yours is consistent maybe there is a code that can be pulled to help diagnose the problem.

Most simple ABS problems are related to wheel speed sensors. Check the wires leading to each one for lose connectors or torn wires.

When you turn the ignition on, are you waiting for the system to go through the "reset".
Guages will sweep full scale and back. All should be at "start" point with fuel guage slowly moving to whatever level your tanks are at. Only then should you attempt start. Might not fix issue but just a precaution that I have found mitigates some issues.

Drove it today. Caution msg & light came on at start up; went away after a couple minutes the road. Have since driven couple hundred miles, still no caution msg or light. Done worrying about it.

True but they can also be triggered by other relatively simple causes. I had a car that showed ABS warnings simply because an interior side panel (rug covered) interfered with the full release of the parking brake pedal.
