I'm having problems getting.my replacement CO Detector to work. MTI Model 35-742 has a red & black leads,.connection leads are blue/white and white, with an in-lime fuse. How should this be CO nected in order for it to work?
Use a Volt meter to determine which of the wires in the RV is positive. Connect that to the red wire. Connect the other wire to the black wire. There should already be an inline fuse somewhere between the detector and the battery.
Hello, so I wired it as you said & nothing. So I tried removing the fuse assy, still nothing. It appears there is no power there for some reason. All fuses in box seem fine, what do you think could be the problem?
Have you used a multimeter or a circuit tester to check for voltage at the wires from the rig?
Did you check the fuse in the inline fuse holder (not by sight but with a meter) or replace it?
The blue and white should be positive and the white neg from the rig. On the meter red is positive and black is ground.
Might be time to enlist one of your neighbors to assist you in trouble shooting your system.
