Coleman Stove Quick Connect

I took out the stove on the outside kitchen (it was crap) and I have a camp stove (Coleman Perfect flow) that I use and like much better. it has the high power burners, and I love it. I have been trying to find ways to hook it to the quick connect on my RV with no luck as I don't want to use the 1lb bottles or carry an extra propane tank.

- I took off the regulator piece and tried a quick connect adapter. The flame on the burner was very low and weak when hooked to RV quick connect.

- Right now I have a splitter on one of my 20lb tanks on the rv with a 20lb to 1 lb (see pic) hose attached to it. I run that to the regulator stem of the stove, but it has some flaws. A. I have to turn the tank on and off all the time. B. The hose gets rolled up and zip tied to the 20lb tank and I have to undo it and run it along the ground back to my cooking area.

Not sure the best solution so I don't have to turn the 2olb tank on and off all the time and undo the hose. The only thing I can think to do is run the hose along the gas hose on the bottom of the RV and bring it out in the bay with the outdoor kitchen, and use the regulator stem.

Anyone have any experience with this or something that might work better?

Yep... those Coleman camp stoves use a higher pressure than what the R/Vs low pressure quick-connect can supply. Been there, done that.

While your current connection method has some flaws, that is how you need to connect it. You might look at other Extend-a-Stay connections for your tank.

All RV propane outlets for griddles, stoves or grills, are low pressure.
Won't work on high pressure propane cooking devices.

I have an outdoor high pressure stove. It works great. I used the design from a popup trailer. Many popup campers had two propane regulators. The first was a high presser regulator with a Tee on it, then a low pressure regulator for all indoor use. I have modified two of my campers to have this design so that I can enjoy the outdoor high pressure stove. The simple high pressure regulator was less than $20.
