Coming to a Ford near you!!!!!!!! Isata 6 Series (Maybe F-Series)

To each their own. We have always offered single color paint, and we get the request quite frequently, so we decided to make it a published option.

The Extreme will take a bit. Heavier weight, so there are very few tires that will work, and most wheels are not rated for the weight. We have some wheel options now, tires are hard to get. Once we build the first one, we have to send it to a proving ground to be tested. 6-9 months I am guessing.

PS. Don't sleep on the Ram. Cummins engine, new transmission, we now get the Big Horn II package and the 12" uConnect. The new chassis is very nice, and it has performed very well.

What are you building on the RAM chassis now ? The 12" screen is a nice feature to have and something the Ford does lack... I have a Jeep with the 8.4" and it just seems so tiny these days. My Jeep has spent a lot of time in the shop and I think Im just done with anything Stellantis.... As far as the paint, I fell in love with the dark extreme edition. Just curious, why no ladder on the back of these things ?

We have always built the Isata 5 Series on the ram chassis, and will continue to do so. While I had hoped we could just pick one (Ford or Ram), there are some subtle difference in the chassis and what we can offer, so they are really two different things.

I have owned Jeeps (Grand Cherokee, or Wrangler) my whole life. Recently I had a 2014 Grand, that never went back to the dealer for anything other than brakes. It has been handed down to my kids and is over 100k. I then had a 2018 Grand that I also passed down. Never been to the dealer a single time (still going strong for my son). I had a 2023 Rubicon 392. It was flawless, other than a leak in the vacuum line for the Performance exhaust...which simply meant it was Performance, all the time. I have owned them going back to a 1994 I think and they have been super reliable.

I am always humored by the "Ford sucks, buy a Chevy", "Dodge sucks, buy a Ford", "XX sucks, Chevy all the way". I think it comes down to specific model, and year, and design change timing (never want to be the first into a major overhaul).

As for ladders, some of it is Aesthetics, some is that RV ladders had no standard to test to (that is changing), so ho0w sturdy does it need to be built? I know lots do it, and you'll see lots of OEM's removing them soon. Lawsuits for people falling off of ladders get very dicey, when there was no standard to test/build to.

This phenomenon of one truck chassis being more reliable than another based entirely on hearsay will always be a factor in the consumer selection process. Even the CR reports are based on a population segment that is willing to complete a complex interrogation process that few have the patience with which to deal. Until the OEMs are willing to publish their warranty claims percentages by units, models, plant origination and production week, any complaint is as subjective as color preference.

Can you tell me what options are available on the Isata 6?

Super singles?
Liquid Springs?
Kelderman?

Any others available that aren't advertised?

thanks

There are none. As mentioned above, the Extreme package (liquid springs, super singles, etc) is not tested yet. We will be working on it, and as soon as we have that done, it will have a published option/price sheet.

Today, it comes standard with Dynaride Suspension (RSX rubber shear spring, along with 4 Bilstein shocks)

I have owned Grand Cherokees (4) much of my life too and have also handed them down to kids. We have had similar good luck on reliability. My 392 came in the form of a Grand Cherokee SRT, though. Oh those 392s bring a smile when you press the pedal 🙂

Brian,

What is the likelihood/timeframe of a slightly bigger Isata 6 floor plan with a king bed and/or bunks, and the explorer package?

Explorer is the easy part, that is available on everything.

King bed, possibly. Bunks, I think we have looked at a couple of options already. I think a Europa bunk model is in the works now.

I figured explorer wasn’t an issue with ccc of the f600. Bunks we’d love but could get by without, king bed is a must and need to stick with something that has the potential for a super single conversion as we sand camp frequently. Would love a Europa but can’t do a super single conversion on it. Keeping fingers crossed you’ll do a larger floor plan Isata 6 that will include a king bed and hopefully bunks.

Dave Sparks did a super single conversion on DX3. He did the Goodyears.

I do agree, Ford is easier.

There are of course 4x4 M2s, and SLRV Australia did a super single demo version expedition vehicle, but I would think with a traditional RV body you would start getting overall height issues after the higher vehicle height to clear the front axle under the engine, plus the oversize tires.

the M2-106 4x4 can be optioned at Freightliner. that one is pretty easy, but long lead time (like a year).

It's the M2-112 that I swore off because you needed a ladder to get into the cab, and we were like 14' tall. We had to make a lot of "after the fact " adjustments just to get it to legal height at 13'-6"

Which model coaches does Dynamax produce on the M2-106 chassis?

28SS? with U-shape? Like this?

You get to have too much fun with floorplans! 🙂

Brain,

Asking for clarification, can a DX3 be ordered form you with factory 4x4 if okay with the wait?
