So kind of funny in an ironic way. We became friends with a couple at our campground who belong to a local service club. The club hall is located about a 10 minute walk from our house and they are having a New Years Party/Dance. We decided to go as we've done the stay at home thing for about 12 years so thought it would be fun, we have another couple (different couple, same campground) that is attending with us and we offered for them to stay over, that way we all walk, no worries about drinking and driving.
Great! Then after tickets bought and arrangements made, I get the call for my knee replacement surgery.
I will not be dancing, I may or may not be able to make the walk in the snow back and forth. If I'm able to drive by then I'll likely get tagged as the designated driver so I won't be able to drink.......
Should have just got the tickets for the couch.......
