Just wondering I live Pacific Northwest, during off season I bag my trailer and leave dehumidifier in trailer which is set on a timer for once a week..
I have never heated trailer in off season! always use dehumidifier, I’m sometimes surprised as to the amount of water that is collected.
With dehumidifier the trailer stay at about average 55% to 60% relative humidity which I’m happy with ..
I’m sure by using humidifier, since I owned trailer coming on to 9 years, mostly definitely helps to keep my trailer in top form.
Any retort to your storage information.

We don't get to our rig frequently enough to empty a dehumidifier and we can't plumb it to drain outside. So we use DampRid in buckets which gets a bit pricey. Its still cheaper than trying to kill mold which forms quickly in the Houston, TX area.

You're on the right track to keep that rig in excellent condition.

I don't use anything in storage to de humidify and never have. Never had a problem between living in Pennsylavnia, Nebraska or Missouri.

Your very lucky, here on pacific coast, which I live very close to ocean humidity can reach 90% when it rains.
This area being a temperate rain forest by nature but summer month humidity drops to 35 to 40% easy.

Problem here with the dehumidifier is it doesn't work as temperature in camper approaches 40°F. So it's just burning leccy and not doing anything. I do keep it connected to a smart outlet I can energize with a phone app, so if it's warmer I can kick it on if I see remote sensor reading RH too high. With nobody breathing in it, it takes awhile for the 1.5g bucket to fill up. When we are in it using it, the bucket can fill up overnight.
