Different issue with slide on FR3

OK, I have a 2015 FR3 30DS and recently started to adjust the cables on the bedroom slide. A issue I've discovered is that on one side the In and Out brackets whack into and ride up on the slide motor. They will ride up onto the motor about 1 1/2 inches and slightly twist. They make quite a thunking sound when hitting the motor but does not seem to be affecting the motor or the brackets. Just a little disconcerning, just wondering if anyone else has this issue.

Thanks

Make sure all eight foam nuts are installed. I had a foam nut off on one of my cables. The sofa slide made a loud bang as I opened the slide. Two of the cable blocks were hitting each other as passed each other.

You can see the white foam block is off the nut. Either FR never installed the foam block or it fell off. The cable nut was backed off about half an inch.

I rechecked my photos from:
Stuck in my Driveway with a dead living room slide motor (#19).

I see the white foam block was missing two years ago.

I did not know what to look for in 2018. Please make sure your foam blocks are installed.

You can see from the pictures above that the shuttle is tilted at a motor so it would not hit the motor.

Below is a youtube on adjusting the cables. Derryl Farar explains the slide components & motor/gearbox replacement.

I posted photos on how to remove the sofa trim.

Good luck on your side.

RK, thanks for the reply. Yes, I read your thread and others, as well as viewed several youtube videos. I must have skipped over your pic showing the carrier bracket hitting onto the motor. I did adjust the brackets so they were slightly tilted to minimize the action with the motor.

The slide I adjusted was the bedroom slide, will work on the living room slide this week so I will revisit you thread before I proceed further.

As far as the foam pieces, mine were either missing completely, not firmly attached or just simply chewed up. What a crappy design. Instead of using the foam blocks, I simply used additional nuts to lock down the adjusting nut. I had enough exposed thread on the cable end so this was doable and I double nutted each one so these cables will not back off now.

Thanks again.
