I am thinking about installing a Honeywell RTH5100B | Deluxe Digital Non-Programmable Thermostat in my Travel Trailer. I was wondering if anyone on the forum had installed this exact (or one like it) unit. The reason I was wanting to know is battery life. I was looking at the basic Hunter unit that everyone installs, and it uses AA batteries, and this Honeywell uses AAA batteries. I like the Honeywell better because of the lighted LCD and the automatic change over from cool to heat, however, if I am changing batteries every month, it would not be worth it. Granted going from AA to AAA I know the battery life will be reduced, but I just thought if someone had the Honeywell, or one like it, they could speak to the battery life.
