Like many others, I replaced the original shower head in my new Rockwood 2109S with and Oxygenics Fury shower head.
This weekend, my wife and I had our first outing, a long weekend at a campground about 25 miles from our house. When we got to the campground, I found the new shower head hanging by its hose because the wall mount had broke.
I contacted Oxygenics their reply was a bit lame, "Our shower head wall mounts are not designed for road travel with the shower head still attached into the mount. The bumps of the roads just plays too much havoc. We highly recommend that you use some other means of securing the head or just laying it down on the floor on top of a towel."
This makes some sense but...what not make a better mount, maybe one out of metal instead of cheap plastic? If cost is an issue then why not, at the very least, add that tip to the install/user manual??? I looked through the instructions an nowhere is this tidbit mentioned so instead, they blame the operator.
The good news is the for just shy of $17 including shipping, they would send me a replacement plastic wall mount. That's close to half the cost of an entire shower head kit. That being said, I plan to buy a replacement shower head from another manufacture. I hope Oxygenics adds this info to their instruction booklet for future owners.
