I'm sure this has probably been asked and answered a dozen times but I haven't been able to find this particular thing discussed. One thing I know for sure, someone out there in Forum land has run up against this and probably has an answer. That's what I like so much about this place; there is a multitude of experiences and opinions and usually somebody has had the exact same thing that gives me hope of what to do!!
So, with that being said, I was interested in seeing if my Wally receiver and Dish Tailgater antenna would get the Eastern Arc satellites. The Western ones were all located behind trees and it seems that if one small leaf or twig gets in the way of those things, we don't get the signal. However I could get a clear view of the Eastern sats and put the antenna about 50 ft in front of my camper.
But, there wasn't an option to scan for the Eastern arc except for a hybrid scan which also did not help me. Of course I called the DISH tech folks and talked to someone who I'm pretty sure didn't have a clue as to what I needed. She gave me some sort of explanation about how I could get those eastern sats that made no sense nor did it seem she was really interested in helping me a whole lot anyhow. So, long story is I finally got the Western sats but ran a cable over 150 ft. away from camper which I know is not ideal. That is what I was trying to avoid. Any input for this particular thread is quite welcomed. Happy camping everyone.

The Tailgater will only get the western arc . You need a "dish" like the Pathway X2. That will give you the option of eastern (61.5, 72), 77 is gone and not needed, or western (110, 119, 129).
The options will show up in the screen where you choose the state your are in.
And BTW the Pathway X2 has a larger "dish" and will send a stronger signal to your Wally, so less weather problems, but not as good as the "home" dishes.
I was amazed you got a signal with 150ft of coax out...Good Job!
