DOH! Accidentally reversed polarity

First time this year hooking up the battery. I didn’t notice I placed the battery into the tray backwards. Got some sparking hooking up the ground connection. The two 40A reverse polarity fuses were blown.

After realizing I had reversed polarity and correcting it and replacing the 40A fuses, everything works except the water pump. The electrical panel pump switch light does not light and the pump makes no noise. I checked inside the control panel and all wiring looks okay,

I see references to an inline fuse or two but have not yet found any near the battery or in the pump compartment.

Anyone have ideas?

Check the resettable breaker under the tongue ( see Photo). Also look for a glass inline fuse in the water pump power line close to the pump.

FIXED PUMP ELECTRICAL

I dismounted the monitor panel and discovered the pump power switch had its power supply wire disconnected.

Glad you found it and reported back.

Your finding though bears the question... how did the wire at the pump's power switch become disconnected?

I have the same question. Both the pump supply wire spade was disconnected and the multi-pin connector to the monitor board. Evil gremlins is the only logical explanation.

Glad you found the issue. Helped a neighbor with his toy hauler last year. His water pump didn't work either. Turned out the factory never installed a fuse in the inline blade fuse holder.

Also, the pump's wiring was connected with electrical twist nuts. I solder the wire and then reinstalled the twist nuts and then taped everything up. All the other wiring in the camper used closed end crimp connectors except for the water pump-weird.
