Dometic Awning!

Heading out of San Antonio lost the whole awning all except front mounting bracket, but bent badly. We have a 2020 Rockwood Ultra Light 4606 WS. Funny part of this story, haven't used awning for almost a year, and didn't know was missing till we arrived at our campsite. Only clues while driving was sudden pull to awning side, ( thought was wind) and bumpy roads.
Now to my questions ?
Got ok to have fiberglass fixed and new awning. Go with same Dometic, was electric, or another brand? Do they make an electric type that locks in place while traveling?
Plus, has this happened to anyone else? At a loss for how did it happen.

Did you mean a 2606WS because there is no such animal as a Rockwood 4606WS?

I installed my own. Not a solid lock but friction should keep it from turning. I honestly do not know if it is a past problem, something affiliated with manual awnings or something else.
There are threads with other awning locks.

I have also used zip ties to hold it in place during my winter travels(probably your best bet if not being used). Have not ever had the need to use it during the winter travels. Don't sit out much or get much sun where I stay. I do put some black tape over my switch as a reminder to remove them when I get situated for the summer.
