On my 2006 Dynamax Grand Sport the teflon bottom of my rear slide is becoming separated. Please refer to the attached two pictures. I am asking for advice on how I can repair this at home. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks. Mike
not sure what you are asking. Pic?
I had a similar problem with my DX-3. The factory did 1 repair which did not hold. I took it back to the dealer for the 2nd repair, but it did not hold either. Neither repair worked because they were not solving the problem causing the damage. The problem was the slide was out of adjustment vertically. So, last summer we went back to the factory, and as Brian mentioned above, they installed the thin aluminum plates. As mentioned, the problem WAS that the slide-out needed to be raised (adjusted) vertically. The repair team raised the slide-out using the adjustment bolts, then installed the plates; problem solved! When we have seen this happen, we cut out the loose area, apply a sealer to keep water from doing any more damage and then use a thin aluminum plate with counter sunk screws.
That is basically a 1.25" wood floor with a water proof coating. Over time, if a ply separates, it breaks that seal and water can get in at the edges. If you search this forum, I think I have posted a picture of the process.
Maybe search my name and plates.
