I'm looking to replace the total POS Sony XAV-AX200 receiver that came in my RV. What a piece of garbage. How/where can I find out what is compatible with the backup camera, blindspot monitoring and lane departure options? Recommendations are highly appreciated! Thanks!

Your profile shows your RV as a 2020 Forester. With that, your rear view and sideview camera switching is handled by a separate switchbox stuffed under the dash. The Sony radio only receives one video signal. By blindspot monitoring, unless you can specify otherwise, I assume is the Voyager aftermarket junk that FR installs in 2020 models. That system is independent and has no connection to the dash radio. I don’t know of any lane departure option installed on an E-450 based 2020 Forester, so you might need to explain.

Thanks again for all of your valuable feedback! 2020 Forester 3011DS, and yes, it's all aftermarket junk that I find obnoxious and intrusive and plan on disconnecting it until I sell it in a few years. The lane departure turns on side cameras and beeps with turn signals if vehicles are present. Blind spot warnings light up the dashboard lolly pops. So, in other words, I can install any 7" head unit that will fit and accept a video input, which I am assuming is standard RCA? Like a nice Pioneer or Kenwood unit with 50wpc and Polk speakers to overcome the road noise? Sorry, I haven't pulled the unit out yet until I can find a suitable replacement. Thanks!

I put a power switch on my Voyager blind spot system. It is a nearly worthless device, with more false alarms than real alarms. I haven’t turned it on in over 2 years.

I replaced the in-dash Jensen in my Forester with a Pioneer NEX media player with Apple Car Play. I wasn’t interested in navigation as I use a Garmin and my rear view monitor is a separate rear view mirror type.
I got the wiring adapter and bezel from Crutchfield when I ordered the deck.
It wasn’t the easiest install I’ve ever done lol, the dash is a pain to remove completely, you have to drop the steering wheel down by removing the front nuts and loosening the rear nuts. There is not much slack removing the heater controls you kind of have to stand on your head.
There were a lot of connections on mine, 6 speakers, XM antenna, radio antenna, two power connections (house and chassis), audio video in and out from tv (probably HDMI in your case), gps antenna for car play, and I’m probably forgetting some.
It took a couple of tries to get everything the way I wanted but it’s all working great now.

Oh my lord. I was thinking of replacing my Jensen in my 2016 3010 DS. I think I'll pass after seeing that. Maybe I'll just use my Bluetooth speaker. I use a garmin as well. That looks like a pain in the you know what.

Yeah, I'm not looking forward to this project. The water damage and solar upgrade be priorities. Thanks.
