Fan belt

Anyone else ever thrown the fan belt?

Have not, but carry a spare just in case.

Yes, when I first bought it 5 years ago (I am 2nd owner) and got it home I noticed that the belt was shredded in half. Replaced belt and tensioner. Was all good until yesterday when the bracket for the fan hub failed. (see my post from this morning). Looking back now, with some belt "squealing" issues I have recently had, I am now wondering if the bolts on the bracket either backed out and/or a couple had broken already causing the pulley to become slightly misaligned causing the squealing.

Just curious as to what belt and part number people are using?
