Faucet replaced

Epro 20bhs I can't get to the faucet to remove it there is no way you get to it help

I just replaced a faucet on my Coachman Freedom Express. It took me most of a day from start to finish to do a job that shouldn't have taken more than an hour and a half. I muttered the wood "Nazis" numerous times throughout the process when thinking of the manufacturer. In my case, the manufacturer could have built the kitchen counter so that if you could easily remove the side panel you could reach in and see and adjust all the fittings.

I am thinking of doing that as a future modification. I accomplished my install by raw tenacity and at times consciously pretending I was a blind man. I got it done finally.

Also, look in Harbor Freight for a cheap faucet install tool. I believe they have one for under 10 bucks.

I think maybe if you remove the tip out drawer, the utensil drawer, and the heater intake panel, you might have enough space to get to whatever fasteners hold the sink in. We've been thinking about replacing our faucet to one with an aerator to reduce the splashing.

This is not model specific, but for me, even if you take out the drawers, you can't get your head under the sink. It is my opinion, that the manufacturer possible installed the faucet into the sink prior to installing the sink.

Kip,

Most faucets have some kind of threading at the spout and will take on an aerator, maybe I am missing something?

Phil, no such luck with the GeoPro. You’re probably right about the installation, but I remember seeing a vid somewhere of a guy replacing the sink in his GeoPro, so he definitely could reach the fasteners, and with the sink removed the faucet replacement would be a cinch. I’m thinking with the drawers removed, MAYBE one could reach the faucet nut and work by feel. But then again, I tend to be overly optimistic about things I don’t know a lot about. LOL.

On my 2019 GeoPro with a stupidly shallow sink, I was able to reach through the drawer slot and undo the fixture nut, as I replaced horrible double handle fixture and low spout first. Then replaced the entire sink, which was a swear fest.

Phil, that would make too much sense, having an easily removed access panel though. It was so much fun doing all the plumbing work through a stinking small drawer slot. My forearms looked like I fought a wildcat.

Wish I could take out a drawer to get to the faucet nut for our sink. It is in an island the sink is deep on one side and the island wall is on the other side. Thought of cutting a hole but thought better of it. and.... a shelf not too far under the sink. :roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:
