Howdy Campers,

After years of borrowing my father's R-Pod 171, my wife said it was time to get our own. In part because we didn't want to keep coordinating with my "always at a new campground" Dad, but mostly because the 171 was getting too small for us, our kiddo, and our dog.

It took months of searching and stutter-steps with local RV dealers before we found our Goldilocks TT from a local private seller: a 2019 Wildwood FSX 179DBK. I love the large, picture window over the dinnette, my wife loves the little sink in the bathroom, our daughter loves the bunkbed layout, and our dog loves the space beneath the bottom bunk. We're taking this week to prep everything, then planning a shakedown cruise this weekend so we're primed for our first "big trip" over Columbus weekend.

It's been a long time coming, but we're thrilled to finally be here.

Howdy!!

Howdy!Enjoy the new camper. Yours is sort of like mine but with bunks.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on your purchase of a 2019 Wildwood FSX 179DBK. Enjoy and have:signhavefun: Later RJD

The fact that you've borrowed your dads camper is going to make the transition to your own camper easier. Glad to have you here!

Congrats on getting your own rig to get out exploring whenever you want.
Now you can add those personal modifications to really make it yours. :campfire:

Congrats and enjoy and also make sure you join the Forest River Owners Group
aka FROG

Thank you for the link. Joined and already downloading a bunch of files! We were lucky as the previous owner had kept most of the manuals, but there are a few glaring holes (like the owners manual). But wow, there's some good stuff on there!

The owners manual that came with it, is a generic owners manual with no model-specific nor brand-specific information. Just basic RV systems information.

Glad it helped you, now also be sure to join us somewhere for a FROG event
