We have a 2014 Forest River Ultra Lite Classic. The floor by the entry has gone "soft" and you can see the supporting framework under the vinyl flooring where the floor has the problem. We took it to our RV tech place and they took a look underneath to see if they could make a repair from the underside of the trailer and found that the section of floor in question is above the black tank and near the axles. It would be very expensive to remove the black tank etc. to fix the floor from below in order to preserve the optional vinyl flooring we have in the trailer (no carpet other than the slide-out). As I understand it, the floor is insulated with a panel that contains some material that has broken down and leaves just the thin veneer that is part of the "sandwich" to support foot traffic which then fractures and causes the "soft" area. I believe there is a sub-floor under the insulating layer, so I don't think there is a danger of going right through the floor.
I have heard others have encountered this issue and am asking what they ended up doing to remedy this situation.
