Ford recall for rear stabilizer brackets

Last fall, I received a notification of the recall (22S62), but there were no parts. Today, I received a second notification letting me know that the parts are available to dealers.

So, I called my closest dealer (an hour's drive) who said they can see me in 2.5 months. I was OK with that. But then they told me their instructions are that they have to do an inspection first and then order the parts. So, that means 2 hours on the road one day, plus time in the shop PLUS two hours on the road another day, plus time in the shop. Arrgh.

OK. I'm finished wining.

Join the club. I have two recalls for my Ford Edge. Been about a year now waiting for repairs.

I had a gasket missing from mine on one side so the bar was banging against the bracket. I went to supersteerparts.com and got their upgraded brackets with urethane gaskets and installed it in a couple of hours. Rides like a dream now and no more clunk clunk clunk of metal on metal!!!
