Forum Update - We're back! Ask your questions here.

How do I get rid of the line spaces in my signature?
Each line MAY have what we once called a "carriage return" at the end. I'd try editing and placing my cursor at the end of each line and hitting delete. Let us know.

EDIT: or maybe it's because you're using the HEADING instruction which MAY leave a blank line under each entry. I've never seen anyone use the HEADING keyword in a signature - which may mean nothing.

LOL...I give up. Here's my sig, but I wish I could "easily" modify it to look like I would like.
But our sig is not the what we are here for. It's the knowledge we can access.
Thanks!

At least you got the "[ HEADING=1 ]" stuff out of it.

I suggest you save the raw text of those signature lines somewhere else and delete your signature altogether and rebuilt it. I can tell it has a bunch of size on/off, color on/off, etc., in it. Maybe the software is confused. It merely sees a comma before your Ford info.

Here's what it looks like before being interpreted:
[ COLOR=rgb(65, 168, 95)][ B][ SIZE=4]Craig & Cath[ /SIZE][ /B][ /COLOR] [ SIZE=1][ B]2018 2902WS Rockwood Ultra Lite with tons of Mods, 2022 F250 7.3 gas with 10 Speed Xmsn Days camped since 2015 (retirement): 1805[ /B][ /SIZE]

I put blanks inside the brackets so the software wouldn't process the commands. There's nothing to tell the software that info should go on three separate lines. Maybe you could change the middle line's color, etc.

Prior to the update I received "alerts" (email notifications) on followed threads AND a daily journal listing threads (new or old) that had some activity.

Since the updates I no longer receive that journal, just the followed threads. My preferences show alerts permitted for everything. How do I get that daily journal back?

Another member answered that question elsewhere today with
Check your Account details. The "Receive activity summary email" was unchecked on mine following the forum software update.
Seems right. Mine’s unchecked which is what I want.

Receive Activity Summary is (and has been) checked all along. I don't think I've ever received a summary since the change.

My gray matter has faded to a pale shade of white but I vaguely remember Janet/Bobby/someone suggesting you turn that off and back on… but if I’m wrong, I’m sorry as gully dirt.

Thanks, Mr. Dan. Trying this now. We'll see what shows up tomorrow.

We now have a like button... Is there a way to thank a member (in writing) for a particular/specific post as there was before?
I was wondering the same. When you highlight (not click) on the like button you can like, thank, etc., but I've not found where we can write our thanks or comment. We may just have to reply. :confusedgif: :(

The first time I tried turning the option off and saving, then on and saving, there was no change.

Then last night I tried turning the option off and saving, and logging out and closing the browser tab. Then I opened a new browser tab, logged in, and turned the option on again and saved again, and logged off again.

And voila, today I got the Daily Summary. Thanks, @Mr. Dan !!

Now I can not get the "Quote" function to work........ You hit the button and nothing....

It worked fine in the beginning.

If you want to just quote a single post, then use the "reply' option.

You can use the quote option to select one or multiple posts.....but then will need to use the "insert quotes" option that will now appear. These will show you all the posts you selected quote for and allows you some option before inserting them. See screenshot

Notice that it doesn’t just say Quote, it says +Quote (and sometimes -Quote) implying you’re added to the “quote string” or removing from it.
When you click +Quote, you’ll see a header message indicating the message was added to multi-quote.

I will try it again later, not sure what I have done. Thanks for the help. I thought that I had been using it on the new platform............

So far I click on "quote" and nothing.................

Regrading a so called phone version…
As I wrote elsewhere, an administrator wrote "There is a mobile menu and an option for "download an app". it's not really an app but instead a bookmark ;)"

only reason I don't use the phone..... hate typing on the phone
cant fit a extension keyboard in any of my pockets
