Can we find a better way for "sticky threads" rather than at the top of page 1? In the Roo section there's a sticky that's sat dormant for five (5) years and really belongs as a Library file and not a message I see every day. Gotta be real annoying in other sections with many stickies. Maybe at the bottom of page 1? Why a sticky at all since no one is commenting on it?

Just asking. :)

So far I click on "quote" and nothing.................
Highlight what you want to quote then select "+Quote"

I like the Reply option if wanting to Quote more of a response and then just delete what does not pertain. Did not know Reply did that.

Any thread that personally bothers you, you have the ability to open the thread, then use the ignore option at top of page. It will no longer show up for you. Easy peasy.

The first time I tried turning the option off and saving, then on and saving, there was no change.

Then last night I tried turning the option off and saving, and logging out and closing the browser tab. Then I opened a new browser tab, logged in, and turned the option on again and saved again, and logged off again.

And voila, today I got the Daily Summary. Thanks, @Mr. Dan !!
Well, now that I'm getting the Daily Summary, another problem has been revealed. The text in each summary item has been tagged to not reflow when viewed in my mail app (Yahoo webmail). All the lines extend off the right edge and I have to scroll left and right on every line. Here's a sample:

Please advise.

What am I doing wrong here? Most web apps use Ctrl-K to insert a hypertext link. The generally accepted scenario is to
  1. Put the URL in to the copy buffer using Ctrl-C
  2. Highlight the link text and press Ctrl-K to get the link dialog
  3. In the popup dialog, press Ctrl-V to insert the URL
  4. The dialog closes and the link text is colored (typically blue) and usually underlined and active.
But in the forum software, the entire paragraph is colored, underlined, and active, not just the area that was originally highlighted.

In step 2, simply select the link icon (two chain links) at the top of the reply post instead of Ctrl-k. (maybe your Ctrl-k isn't working?)

Yes, I know I could do that, but I prefer keyboard shortcuts for everything.

This was submitted as a "Bug Report," not an "Unable to perform this task" report. My expectation was that Janet might report this to the software vendor.

OK... not sure it is a bug or needs reported to anyone because my Ctrl-k in step 2 works just fine. It doesn't highlight any additional text. I was simply suggesting a way for YOU to make it work.

what browser... my Firefox plays up regulary
switched to Chrome

the CTRL K stuff works good on Chrome

Was just replying to a Conversation post. Went to attach a picture and when clicking on the Picture icon the Insert Link box came up.
Works fine here in the standard forum replies or new threads.
Using Firefox.

Mousing over the icon show Ctrl+P and that did not work either, I think the Print box came up. Works fine here. Ctrl+P brings up the Insert Image.

Here's an interesting one. Starting at an e-mail notification of recent post to a thread I'm following, I opened the forum and got the appropriate thread. I was not logged into the forum and did not log in. Then I decided to click on "What's New". All the links that I tried took me to posts in the Escapes Forum!. I had the Forest River Forums banner at the top of the "What's New" list. I then clicked on "Forums" and was able to get to this thread where I noticed that I needed to log in to post a reply. I logged in and now all links to the Escape forum are gone...
I'm not a member of the Escape forum.

Please advise.
Here are some pictures of the Daily Summary, as it appears in my email app. You can see that the text in the summary is set to NOT reflow. As I read each line I must scroll right, to finish each line, then left to read the next line. The attached two images show the beginning and end of the lines.

Surely it's not supposed to work this way. Is there a setting I need to adjust?

This is an older laptop with 1024 x 768 screen. The window is maximized.
