I got an email that Mondays At The Tire Shop has a new post. It came from a different Forum that I am not a member of, "Wander The West"
One link took me to that forum, the other link took me to the first post of "Mondays".

Kind of odd. Here is a picture of the email with my username in the send to.
Just thought you would like to know.

You can even login to both using same user name password

I realize that. Same format but kind of odd to get that email after the update. Something quirky just happened. Just letting the people in the know, know about it.

check the preferences on both forums make sure the new update did not reset to defaults

I was surprised how well and large the font is on my Samsung Galaxy S22+. It's very usable and I did not select any special mode.

What phone model exactly do you have?

The experience on my Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra is a zillion times better than viewing the old forum on it.

I did stumble on a "font size" option but mine was defaulted to a larger size and changing it made it smaller. Perhaps yours is on the smaller setting?

I suggest anyone saying they do not like it, give it a couple of weeks first.
Thoughtful dialect is great but saying you do not like something without giving it a thorough run thru for a bit is not probably very appreciative to the folks who did the work of upgrading.

And I am someone not great at changes either.

The size on a phone is somewhat doable... use it while in waiting room etc

but for me..... it's just not comfortable for my fat fingers to use probably any phone for a forum
especially if there are two LINKS close together .... like in the pull out menu
I'm never sure what page I will get.

and yes I could buy a stylus
but have not found as stylus that is easy to find on my messy desk
They need to make a bluetooth stylus that comes with a app ... "where's my stylus"

used my laptop for this reply...
The new format pages ......do appear to load content faster (even on my laptop)
Except for some advertisements may sometimes slow things down
because some advertiser has no idea on how to format a video or photo for fast loading

status bar at bottom of browser you'll often see ...... waiting for some advert to load
and sometimes the browser (Firefox) just won't let you do stuff, while the page is still loading.
BUT... it's a price we pay to have a nice forum
I like the people and the content on this forum ... plenty of other forums if I wanted to use them

but you can use the width button (on a laptop)
so you can have a PLUS SIZE signature

FYI though, I did not single you out. There are posts before you that took a first look and say they do not like it. You are not alone.

Obviously you are free to do what you want. But I have been on many, many forums going back nearly 25 years. They all go through this periodically, and they all seem difficult at first. Welcome to the world of technology.

The old site had an indication that a member was online. I think it was a little green dot if they were on line or something like that. Am I missing something or did that go away?

While viewing a thread on my lap top I frequently use the scroll bar on the right side of the screen or scroll from the touch screen. Near the bottom right of the screen there is an up and down arrow to take you to the top or bottom of the page. It is very close to the scroll bar and I frequently hit it and accidently go to the bottom or top of the page. Can that be moved away from the scrooll bar?

Look at their avatar. There will be a Green dot at the center bottom if they are on line...
