I was looking for the temp-senser for the fireplace because of another post. I remove the fireplace and low and behold a speaker. What is it doing behind the fireplace ? I removed the left hand bottom drawer next to the fireplace, and put the speaker there. Had to make a frame with a black cover to replace the drawer I removed, but works great and sounds 100% better.

I thought everyone knew where that speaker was...not:rolleyes:

Seriously, glad you found it...

Should be the subwoofer. Really should not matter as subs are directionless (sorry about that to any submariners).

x2 except if it was in a closed cabinet that would be bad. I'm suprized that you didn't get rattling from the meter of the fireplace.

What a stupid place to bury the speaker. Mine is almost as bad. It's in a lower floor level cabinet next to the fireplace. A black cloth grille project is in my future.

They really are not thinking about acoustics when the put these units together, the "stereo" or "Home Theater" is an afterthought.

My new trailer has no HT system at all so I am considering options for MODS next winter, it will be fun.

On of the first mods will be replacing the tiny, cheesy surround speakers in the ceiling. They are 3" round and maybe 3/4" deep. I have to find something better 'cause my Panasonic 1000w HT system rattles them apart.
