Hi All,
Just joined the forum. Just getting used to the 8289WS. We love it. We are spending our second winter in the warm climate and just love the room in the new camper. The question: Can you undo the screws holding the free standing table to the floor? I would like to move it out a bit so four can enjoy dinner better. Any answer would be appreciated. Thanks, Rose

I think you can, yet we don't because ours has a leaf already in the table, which we would bring out whenever we have guests. So, we don't have to physically move the table. Are you sure your's isn't the same?

Great....f/u....how hard is it to line back up with the holes for travel?....
thanks, Rose
I relocated the table and screwed it down, fluffed the carpet up,done deal. For you to replace it every time you have dinner guests? I would relocate and forget it! ;) Youroo!! PS,dont use f/u to me or I will not respond the next time.

sorry...did not occur to me what "other" words that could mean!!!!!
Lots of help real quick on this forum! Thanks so much - safe travels, Rose

I must be dense, or old, or something.
What does f/u mean?
Oh, and the question is for Rose.
I know the other meaning!)

Yes you can move then but I agree, moving it back and forth all the time it will never be the same. 😂

OOOOOHHHHHHHH.... "FOLLOW UP" - heh, yeah. I never got off of the "other meaning". I figured it wasn't what Rose meant, but I couldn't figure out what she meant!

Thanks.

Question has any body tried turning table so it is against the slide wall and put 2-3 chairs with backs to kitchen. I have a 2604 RL. Most of time just the two of us. ???Thanks

Not hard to realign with the floor sockets. The top is about 1" + washer with the threaded hole. Just get it close and wiggle the bolt in.

We've moved ours and I think we are just going to turn it over instead of trying to realigning the screw holes because we are going to continue to move it around. In fact we've looked at a few fold-up tables available at Wally-World and Sam's Club. We'll wait until we get home to decide. Actually we both think our table's pedestal gets in the way of things and I may just install 4-legs and flip it over when we travel. The best part of this discussion is the fact that we don't have a fixed dinette and can re-arrange stuff to suit our needs. Like I said earlier we've had 3 dinette's and they were not comfortable, and the quality on the cushions has steadily gotten worse.

Just remember if the M/H or trailer must slow quickly, the table or other unsecured item doesn't know, and coninues fwd @ full speed.

Thanks, for your concern. Yes we will secure things as best as we can. The four chairs were only tied to the center post of the table. Two other points. This is our second 2013 Flagstaff 26-FKWS. Our first one we took delivery last July and while on our maiden voyage return trip it was totaled by a dump truck in a service area. It was a glancing blow on the left front corner of the slide and he didn't stop until he almost hit the corner of the front axle. The table was torn off the floor and the chairs were everywhere but up-right. Second point is that the couch, while much heavier was not secured to anything and it hardly moved.
