A while back, on a country back road (see where this headed �� ), I encountered some low hanging branches after a curve. I knew they caught the front A/C cover, and I fixed that. I didn’t realize it also cracked the front cap, until I was doing A/C PMs and cleaning the roof last weekend. It’s high enough where all repairs can be done from the roof without a ladder.
How can you tell if the crack is just in the gel coat, or if it goes through the fiberglass? There are NO punctures/holes. Just two cracks spreading from the point of impact.
I’ve done fiberglass work before, on a boat, but I’m hoping it’s just a gel coat repair. Sorry, no pictures available yet.
