Furnace question

Good morning, I have a 2005 FR Wildwood 27bh with the fold out front bed. We went on our last camping trip for the year this weekend and the morning temperatures were very low . I have had this unit for a couple of years now but have never needed the furnace, well until this weekend. The only switch that I found was the thermostat on the wall, I turned up the control but nothing happened. I searched all over the place for another switch but there is nothing. What am I missing? The grate on the front of it is screwed on so I cant imagine that there is a pilot to light...Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is the furnace making any noise at all like clicking sound?

The only suggestion I can give you with limited info is to double check the wiring to the thermostat. The wires are very thing and are not stranded. They are very brittle and break easily. I lost heat for 2 nights on my first camping trip this year. I removed the thermostat to find a wire had broken to one of the thermostat terminals.

Ir your thermostat is one that splits in half, push it in to make sure pins are seated or not bent. Double check the wiring to the thermostat. The wires are very thing and are not stranded. Were you on shore power or battery power?
If on shore power did all the other 12 volt devices work?
If on battery power, was the battery fully charged when you tried to run the furnace?

Did you check the fuses? there should be one for the furnace in the power panel.

Assuming your fuse was good; did the furnace blower come on (BIG first clue)?
Without the blower fan running, nothing else can happen.

There may also be an auto (or manual) reset current limiter behind the screen.
Just remove the wood side hinge screws carefully from one side of the door and it should swing open. DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN when you reinstall as they could easily strip.

Did you move the thermostat switch over to "Heat"? You only mentioned that you raised the temperature.

Look at your thermostat very carefully , some may have a HEAT-OFF-COOL switch, or some even have a simple ON-OFF switch (Mine had an ON-OFF switch)

Your furnace runs off of 12 volts, so make sure thats OK, also look at your fuse panel on your converter.
