Fuse Locations for Kwickee Steps

The attached photo ( which hopefully is not upside down or some cockeyed orientation ) is from the manual for my Kwikee elect steps . The steps have suddenly stopped so before I go through all the tests I thought I'd check fuses . However I can't find them. A friend thought they might be in the charge control box but after looking at an online wiring diagram everything seems geared to ignition and charging functions . There's inline fuseholders that are on 2 wires that to the positive terminal of the battery but unless I'm mistaken they don't appear to run back to the coach wiring harness going to step harness .

Can anyone tell me were the fuses in the diagram are

Forgot to mention motorhome in question is a 2012 Georgetown 378

On later model years the steps are powered through a 25 amp inline fuse directly connected to one of the house batteries. That allows them to work whether the battery switch inside is on or off.

Well coincedently one of the wires does have a 25A inline fuse . I had a quick look at it yesterday and it looked ok but this morning I'll revisit it again give the contact points a a shot of contact cleaner and put in a new fuse .
I'll update everyone if that solved things Appreciate hearing from you

Went over and gave fuseholder a good dose of electrical contact cleaner and put in a new 25A fuse . Closed the door still nothing steps won't retract . Next step going thru all the test procedures listed in the Kwikee manual

Check the door switch, it works with a magnet. Does the light come on under the steps when you open the door?

Could be the motor for the steps. We had to have ours replaced. Not cheap.

Sadly that's not the case . A few days before ,because they got down to 60% ,I pulled them out and put them on a charger . It brought them back to full so they were just recently back in when this hapened.

I've just finished reading the steps manual cover to cover. There is a procedure for testing the motor which I'm going to do along with ones for the 4 way connector, step switch and door switch .
I'll let you guys know what I find .

I believe it was . It's off now - I assume there's a time period after they go down when it shuts off There's a test for door switch which I'm going to do . Let you know

If the light came on when you opened the door, you have power. I have replaced the motor several times in different RV's that we had. Last replacement was because of hurricane Irma. We drove through water on the highway and water got into the motor and rusted it. Didn't show from outside.
They also get dead spots on the contacts/brushes in the motor. If it stops on the dead spot it won't start. Try hitting it with a mallet. Try hitting the entire step with a mallet.

The hard part is it generally quits with the steps retracted and it is a pain to get to it. You have to pull a pin the get the steps to release (not easy) then you can replace the motor and gear. I have replaced several.

I finally replaced the entire step assembly on my 2007 Winnebago View.
The motor and gear is a window motor.

Thanks to everyone who offered suggestions. I have a bit of an update I did the tests that are shown in the manual .The step switch ( rocker switch) and the door switch tested ok. The 4 way connector test tested ok which means I have power to the step connection (which means I believe no fuse issues )
I also ran the test for the motor in which you jumper motor leads directly to the battery . The motor is fine - I was able to retract and extend it ( lucky for me step failed with steps extended) .
I can only think of two other causes faulty wiring from step harness to motor or I have a bad control unit .
More to follow - feel free to offer any other possible causes .Contact info for Kwikee would also be appreciated.

I bought a control unit (computer) for my Kwikee steps from Amazon. My 2nd or 3rd in 17 years. Find a vendor that takes returns. Replace it if it still doesn't work return it.

Sounds like you've tested all the likely points of failure already

Wanted to update everyone who offered help . Turns out problem was caused by defective door switch . I got and temporarily connected up a new control unit and still had no luck . So I retested everything again and discovered the culprit . Not sure why it passed first time round ( bad meter or your's truly ) Anyway feeling a lot better about things today

I am having problems with my steps also. I traced mine to the connector that goes to the step motor. I had problems with this last year and after cleaning it, it worked great until this summer. I have ordered the new connector and will replace it when it comes in.
Power to the connector was good, but no power coming out of the connector.
I am glad you got your steps figured out. They can be a pain when they don't work right.
