Handle came off once again. Had to use vice grips to pull it out enought to dump. Bought a replacement handle but it does not have threads on the end to screw too the valve rod that is threaded. The replacement slides over the threaded end and fits in place with a set screw. Not a very good design. Any good ideas on how too on this one?

Hit a hardware store, see if you can get a piece of flat stock a few inches long, preferably with a hole in the middle. Find a bolt that will fit into the screw hole, get a couple of nuts. Put the bolt into the flat bar, tighten the nut. Spin the new handle into the shaft, just the second nut as a jam jut.

That or just spin it out, throw it into a storage bin, spin it back in to dump.

The replace handles come in two types, you got the wrong one, you need the one that is a tube with threads on the inside. You will also find if you stop at a shop that makes trophies they have connectors that have the same size threads on the inside. That is what I now use.

Just drill on thru' the new handle and put a nut on the threaded rod. Might want to put some Loctite or super glue on the threads.
