Hello - our son has very limited use of one hand so am considering swapping out the bathroom sink and faucet with a new stainless sink and hands-free faucet to save water and function more easily for him. Has anyone done that and, if so, was there any lessons learned? My primary concern is how well the faucet performs with the trailer water pump system. Thank you.

You should be able to replace the faucets with any residential faucet.
The only concern would be if you need it hooked up to electric. Most have internal batteries.
It shouldn't make any difference to the water pump. When you turn it on or off, the water pump responds to the water being turned on or off.

We’ve had one in our RV kitchen for several years and we love it. It is some expensive Kohler residential faucet that we got for free.

Installation was the same as for most residential faucets, except for the controller/switch that needs to be plugged in. As long as you have an outlet near your under-sink cabinet, you should be able to manage it. We added an outlet under the sink.

The controller has a manual setting in case you don’t have access to electricity, and it works fine off the water pump.

It also has a safety feature to turn itself off after 5 minutes, in the event it got activated by accident (i.e. the curtain in the kitchen window flutters far enough to activate the sensor).

As I said, we love ours.
