Hello all, new to this forum. We just ordered a Dynamax FW30 4x4 Xplorer, as we're transitioning from Pennsylvania to the Colorado Rockies and need some serious cold weather options and 4x4... Looking forward to being part of this community. Thanks!

Welcome to the froum and congrats on your purchase of a Dynamax FW30 4x4 Xplorer, Enjoy and :signhavefun: Also safe travels. Later RJD

Advice will vary depending on how cold and how high you're going to be camping. Are you full timing it or looking for storage advice?
Welcome from Texas!
Hi Reverse snowbird,
we're not full-timing it at this point. Our home in the Rockies is at 8,300 feet and on a steep switch-back dirt road, so even driving from our property needs 4x4 most of the time and parking our RV during half of the year needs winterizing. Looking forward to our new dream rv! Thank you.

Welcome to the forum. I grew up in PA and now live in Colorado. Alot depends on where you are moving, we have friends that live up by Red Feather Lakes, about 9000', but they have an HOA that plows the roads so they don't need chains or high clearance vehicles. I would at a minimum get the best set of mud and snow tires you can afford or get a separate set of studded tires for the winter. Make sure you have a blanket, shovel, flashlight, some food etc in your vehicle, you never know when you will be stuck in snow or on I-70 trying to go skiing and stuck I traffic half the day because of an accident.

Good luck and welcome to Colorado. I hope you enjoy it as much as we have.
