Hello from Vacationland! (Maine) Newbie to RV’ing!
We just purchased a 2022 Palomino Solaire 208SS. Was noticing the fridge is not cooling but freezer is working fine. Called my service department where we bought the trailer. Got the same old line “it takes forever, switch to gas, etc. Had their service rep come to the house today only to find out that there was NO roof vent for the fridge installed! Has anyone else experience the same thing? Forest River warranty keeps saying “it’s the fridge manufacturer problem and not theirs”. Just sucks. Now we have to wait for parts. Is this a common thing with FR? Any feedback is helpful! Thanks!

If it is a 12v fridge it might not have/need a roof vent. If it is an LP/electric absorption fridge without a vent/flue then you have a problem.

You do have a gas electric fridge.

If you do they take two cutouts in the wall for air in and out typically in a slide. They install two vents in the wall and add computer fans to move the air.

Or, one vent in the lower area behind the fridge and a roof vent.

On compressor fridges they do not do this.

The factory should have done this. The dealer is responsible. Maybe. Might take 3-5 months to resolve. A 1 hour job.

Yes it is definitely one of the absorption fridges in it. We noticed it was running very warm and even the interior walls of the closet and bathroom walls were really warm. Technician said right off the bat he knew that’s the problem. Running hot and no place for the heat to escape. Now it’s just a waiting game for parts and service. Only had it 2 weeks and ran into this. Glad we had only gone camping for a couple days. Especially when the fridge temperature is currently at 75 degrees. Good thing for coolers!!

Wow. Can't believe they left that out. Major safety issue as it sounds like combustion gases were just venting into your camper. Lucky there was not a fire or gas inhalation.
