Question: Anybody have suggestions on where to hang a key rack so the keys don't make a lot of noise when driving
In a bowl, a drawer, center console, or in a freezer bag and tucked in the fridge. Of course, you can always just turn up the radio to fix the key noise.
Okay, I kid.
We put up
three command strip hooks next to the control panel in our TT as a way to organize keys when we camp (three hooks, one for the master vehicle set, one for the master trailer set, and a spare door key with a whistle for the kids). Keys now always have a place, and the hooks are secure enough that we can travel with full key sets with fobs hanging on them. Bonus: No more lost/misplaced keys!
Here's how it's applicable to you: try a location (any location) for your key hooks. If it doesn't work for you (makes too much noise while driving, OR isn't convenient when camping), you can MOVE the command strip hooks till you find a more suitable place. Once you've got a place you like and performs properly, you can install a more permanent key caddy.
Of course, you could always just put the keyhook wherever you like, and wrap the keys with a thick rubber band to keep them from a-jangling.
Hope this helps!
