We bought a new mini lite 2205S
During our maiden trip our TPMS showed 3 @
100 degrees one was @ 160 degrees alarm went off. We can’t figure out why one was so hot.
Any ideas would be appreciated.

Bearing/brake issue? Maybe a bad sensor. Move it to a different location and see what happens. Did you verify that the suspect wheel was in fact hot?

What system do you have? The only time I had an abnormal temperature reading was when the batteries in my TST-507 system were old. Replaced batteries and system returned to normal.

Verified by feel or a infrared thermometer?
I keep an infrared in my truck. Just in case. Mainly have used it on the camper just to see how warm my refrigerator compartment was getting so far.

160psi is not excessive for a ST tire so the real question is why is just one (1) tire this temp.

Low tire pressure will cause heat build up. I'd confirm the TPMS is accurately reading the pressures and temperatures. Separate hand held tire pressure gauge can determine the accuracy of the four TPMSs. Unlikely to have 1 good and 3 bad but RV gadgets are seldom top of the line.

A dragging brake or bad wheel bearing will heat the wheel and TPMS are mounted on the wheel rim so any temperature they read is really wheel heat. Do the hub temperatures match?

As others have suggested an infrared thermometer is invaluable. Even the $20 models are accurate enough to determine if one wheel/tire is significantly different from the rest. I'm still using the one I bought 20 years ago for checking camper bearing/hub temperatures and don't leave it in the camper or truck as they're too much fun determining temperatures such as your pup's tummy (just take care 'cuz there's a laser in the device) heat registers, 3d printer bed, etc. My coffee is down below 90°F right now so it's time for a fresh cup. :)

The infrared thermometers are also handy for lp tank levels.

Dribble hot water down the tank then scan the tank. You can see the line of the propane in the tank!

Must be drinking cheap coffee if you can throw it away. :)

My nephew told me to try this a few years ago. He has multiple depending on which room he is in. He has steered me right on a few occasions.
